Hey. So today's song is I Will Never Let You Down by Rita Ora.
I stayed over at my sister's place last night since my family was being extra salty to me. So while I was waiting for my sister to wake up this morning I finally checked out Dark Angel. It's a TV series I've been meaning to watch because Jensen was in it. Now that I've actually looked at it though, I see that there are a lot more people in it that I watch on shows now. It's pretty interesting seeing them young.Well, it looks like Sammy is awake which means I gotta jet. We have some running around to do for Will's birthday. So check out that show and I'll see you tomorrow.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 188
Hi everybody. So today's song is Up All Night by One Direction.
I've finished Buffy, so now I'm watching The Flash!! They cast Barry Allen perfectly and I believe it will be really great. Although so far I don't like the love interest... I ended up watching the pilot months ago when it was leaked, but now that the show is finally on I'm rewatching all of it from the start. I don't know very much about the comic version and reading up on it is kind of confusing since there are multiple people who have been the Flash and there are different origin stories and what not... I don't understand. I've decided not to look it up and not to try to guess what's happening. That way I can just watch the show and let it unfold for myself regardless of if the story is a little different. Being created by the same people as Arrow I have faith they'll do this justice, just as they did that one so I'm curious to see. Also he is the nerdiest of nerds which makes me happy!! You guys should watch it if you have the chance. I think you'd like it.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 187
Hello. So today's song is Nice To Know Ya by k-os.
My friend Anna was supposed to come up for Will's birthday thing this weekend, but alas it seems she has better things to do...which is understandable. She has a life with her own friends and what not in Lethbridge, and it has nothing to do with me and mine here. I have to say though, as much as I understand friends growing apart as they get older, having it happen absolutely sucks. Other friends of mine it was abrupt. No contact, no seeing them around, nothing in common anymore. Ripping the band-aid off fast is better in this situation and I think I'm going to need to do that on my own now. I'm cool with being a loner, it's my natural state...so this post is acting as a bit of a goodbye to anyone who I've been friends with and am not now. At least we had a good run. I know I may sound like I'm being melodramatic, but the drifting has been happening for more than two years, and today I just don't have the patience to wait for friends when I could be living.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 186
Hi. So today's song is A Billion Girls by Elyar Fox.
Halloween is coming up, and there is always a dilemma. Do I go to the ridiculous halloween party that people I don't even really like or talk to anymore invited me to? Or do I sit at home alone doing nothing since I live in an apartment building and can't participate in trick or treating in any way. Luckily this year I have a third option that is better than both of the others. My sister and I (and her boyfriend) are having our own little fright night complete with candy and moderately scary things. I've got the episodes from this season of American Horror Story for us to watch, Will bought a creepy video game to play, and Sammy will make some treats that she can actually eat since chocolate is a no-go for her. See I say moderate horror because I just can't deal with scary things. I've boycotted horror movies my entire life after not sleeping for an entire week when I accidentally watched The Village with my family. Most people when I say that say it wasn't even a scary movie, but I couldn't deal and that should tell you how well I deal with horror. Oh well, moderate scares with other people in the room should be fine. I'm curious what you guys are up to for halloween. Do you still dress up and do the rounds with a pillow case, or party with your friends??

Year 3, Day 185
Hiya. Today's song is American Girl by Bonnie McKee.
Yes, still awake. Nothing has changed except that I've gone through a few hours of Buffy and am getting closer and closer to the series finale. Weird things have been happening in it: singing, heart to hearts in cemeteries, unexplained international deaths...the works. I had started watching again because I realized I'd only seen to season 3, so I've been watching absolutely all of it. To be honest watching so much at once I'm kinda getting done with it now, but I'm pushing through to the end. There's only about ten episodes left. As done with the show as I am right now, I still love it and I definitely agree Joss Whedon is the man. I want him to make more female characters because he's so good at them. And I really want him to be a part of the Black Widow movie if that ever happens. Anyway, that's all I'm thinking about. Hopefully I'll have something better to say when I see people in a few hours. Until then, here's some ridiculous pop music.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 184
Hello. Today I give you I'm A Freak by Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull.
So...I just woke up...and it's 10:30 on a Saturday night. I've always been horrible at keeping a sleep schedule, but this is just sad. It is completely screwed up! Now my whole family is asleep, the world is closed and I'm just sitting in my room fully awake as if it was first thing in the morning. I guess I'll be spending the night finishing Buffy The Vampire Slayer series on my computer, then I can catch up on my other tv shows that I've been avoiding for weeks. To my friends who always ask why I know so many weird things exist on the internet, or how I have time to catch up on so much pop culture: this is why. I have a serious problem and I really should have some vast studies prepared and actually learn shit during this time instead, but that requires planning. And I hope to get my sleep sorted out when I actually have things to do during the day. Anyway I just wanted to give you a heads up that I have a lot of radio hits that are on the list, so I'm going to go a little top 20 crazy for the next little while and get it all out right now. So if you hate that stuff, come back in a week or two and see where I'm at.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 183
Hey. Today's song is Denmark Street by The Kinks.
I feel like I've just had my kid status revoked...not that I've been a kid this whole time because I haven't been in a long while, but I feel weird now. Today I learned that when you can no longer call your mom "mom" to someone else in your family with them knowing exactly who you're referring to, you are now an adult. There are too many moms in the equation and everyone deems you old enough to refer by names instead. I've always realized that I was getting older and more mature, and thought that that was it, but I had a moment when this happened that I just thought "that's it. That's my adulthood card handed to me" and the funny thing? I didn't want it. I just think it's weird to refer to them by their names, like as much as I hate my parents I still call them mom and dad; and I still call my grandparents grandma and grandpa (but so does everyone else in the world now). People think I'm weird though because I do refer to my uncles and aunts by their names and not their status in my family. I guess I'm just weird...so I'm curious if you guys ever had one moment where you truly felt like an adult. I really want to know, so tell me in the comments.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 182
Hiya. So today's song is Highway Of Heroes by The Trews.
There's something I should talk about today: the shooting that happened in Ottawa. I feel like I need to talk about it as a Canadian and after hearing how everyone else is responding to it. No, this is not the first attack Canada has had. No, we didn't lose our innocence. And No, I'm not enraged. I'm sorry about Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, because no one should have to lose their life like that, but I am so grateful to those that were there when he died who didn't panic and tried to not only save him, but tell him how much everyone loves him. I hope for complete health returned quickly to the other three people injured. What Justin Trudeau said explains how I feel perfectly:
That last part is put so perfectly. There should be no jumping to conclusions, we know the recent attacks were made by lone men with guns, and that's all we know. There is no group or person who has claimed responsibility, and I refuse to jump to a conclusion based on what is happening in the world. I know I live in Alberta, which is pretty goddamn far away from the shooting, but this is still important. I was trying to think of what song would be appropriate during this time, and I thought about it for a long time, but finally I realized there was only one. This song. It's named after a stretch of road that our troops travel down to get home when lost in battle.
I'm a day late writing this, so I have a story for you about Nathan's trip down this road, courtesy of Jessica Jones on Facebook. "I have a friend that lives in Canada and he sent these. Truly moving!! This is what he said with the pictures: The 'drive home' for that solider from Ottawa to his hometown is 6
hours along the biggest highway in canada, and part of it is called the
highway of heroes as soldiers who die overseas fly home and travel along
it. Every overpass is like this. There's probably 150 along the drive.
If not more...We drove up to the overpass near us and paid our respects as the convoy of vehicles and hearse carrying Cirillos body."
The pictures she attached show a physical representation of the love all us Canadians are feeling right now, and I think it's beautiful. I know you guys may think I'm crazy, may not care about this post, but I had to say it. I had to show respect, and say what I feel, because it should be said, this must be remembered. This love is Canadian, it's who we truly are, and who we will continue to be.

"In the days that follow, there will be questions, anger, and perhaps confusion. This is natural, but we cannot let it get the better of us. Losing ourselves to fear and speculation is the intention of those who commit these heinous acts. They mean to shake us. We will remain resolved. They want us to forget ourselves. Instead, we should remember. We should remember who we are. We are a proud democracy, a welcoming and peaceful nation, and a country of open arms and open hearts. We are a nation of fairness, justice, and the rule of law. We will not be intimidated into changing that...We have remained Canadians. And this should be how we will carry on. To our friends and fellow citizens in the Muslim community, Canadians know acts such as these committed in the name of Islam are an aberration of your faith. Continued mutual cooperation and respect will help prevent the influence of distorted ideological propaganda posing as religion. We will walk forward together, not apart. In the coming days, we will be inundated with pictures and videos showing what happened. But there is one in particular we should remember: the picture in our minds we have of a Canadian guarding Canadians. That is who we truly are. That is who we will continue to be."

Year 3, Day 181
Hi. So today's song is Saviour by Reachback.
I love the concept of this video. When I was younger I never really got into comic books or anything like that, I think mostly because I had never really seen anything. I never had a brother who was into it, and neither was my mom or dad (Sammy had a vast Barbie collection) and I had never seen any signs of that stuff at any friend's houses ever. It's only later in life...aka the last couple of years where I have gotten into it. I love basically everything Marvel has ever made, and have learned entirely too much about origin stories. Comic Con sounds like the funnest thing I could ever go to, and all the actors I love are always at them, but I still haven't gone, and I'd have no idea what to go as. This band gets major props for doing the comic world justice. First with the comics themselves (Buffy and Harley Quinn) then the shirts that I wish I owned, and the costumes are so good. Bonus points for the Wonder Woman spin at the end. Plus I mean, points for being an epically great song that I've had stuck in my head for days. Just all around awesome, so you guys should check it out. And if you have any ideas about a possible costume for me, let me know. The more ideas the better.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 180
Hey guys. So today's song is You Always Make Me Smile by Kyle Andrews.
Now this is how you make a music video! Get a bunch of people together and break some world records. I think I had shown another video that did that too (I wanna say Weezer, but don't quote me on that) and it's because the concept is so cool. And especially this record, just look how much fun everyone is having! As it says in the video, there are 4,000 people having an epic water balloon fight with 120,000 water balloons with the singer right in the middle of it getting pelted with water from every direction. I feel bad for his guitar being in it lol. The song is perfect for an event like this and whoever decided they would do this for the video was a genius. I just wanted to point a finger and the cool things that happen, despite us not knowing about them. So enjoy this and if you know of something cool that you think I'd like, tell me in the comments.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 179
Hello everyone! So today's song is Sleeping With A Friend by Neon Trees.
Today Sammy and I are working on stuff for Will's birthday. It's a secret to him, but he has never once in his life even thought about my blog, so I can let you guys in on the plan! Basically it's a city wide scavenger hunt leading to his big birthday present from Sammy. We're enlisting the help of lots of his pals and I'm going to make sure he heads to the right places. I've been rhyming clues all day, and feel like Dr. Seuss right now....it's kind of driving me crazy, but is also hilarious. Sammy has everything at her house, which I think will end badly since her place is also his place, and he may eventually find it all. Oh well, she's the girlfriend and it's her show, I'm just helping with it. There's about nine different clues, all that take him to a new person and place, and will be an adventure that takes all day. I'll keep you posted when we go through with it about how it goes. Until then, you guys get some more Neon Trees because I'll never get tired of their stuff and I hope you wont either.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 178
Hello everybody! So today's song is Colourblind by Glenn Morrison ft. Andrew Cole.
I doubt this will shock any of you, but I have never been to a party. I'm not talking birthday party or anything like that, but a legitimate party. For no apparent reason. The closest I get is a bonfire I went to in High River with a bunch of people I didn't know, who didn't want to know me where the guy I liked swooned for someone younger than me. Not what I'd call a fun time.So while I hang out at home, other people go out and party then tell me about their escapades. For example, Sammy and Will yesterday went to a party and Will got hilariously (embarrassingly to Sammy) drunk. It involved beer pong, bromances and a lack of pants, most of which he didn't seem to remember. It made for a good story for me to hear, but I don't think they'll be invited to a party by those guys again. I want to hear any fun stories you guys have from outings. Tell me in the comments.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 177
Hey guys. So today's song is Tubthumping by Chumbawamba.
I have slept literally all day today. Side effect of that time of the month. So I slept for a full 17 hours, and I'm pale as all fuck, so my family is super concerned and assume I'm dying. That makes them hover and get on my nerves, which are also shortened this week.To make matters worse my grandpa keeps printing out job postings for me which only makes me depressed. I appreciate the attempt at support, but when giving me job postings he could at least make sure I actually qualify for them. I'm trying to counteract my nasty thoughts with the happiness this songs gets me, and so far it's working. I've never not heard this song and had my mood lifted so it's a long time coming having it on this list. And hopefully it'll bring your mood up a little bit.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 176
Hi. So today's song is Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.
Have you guys ever watched New Girl? Well it's a show about a girl and the four guys she lives with, but basically it's mind numbing fun. One thing that they do is a game called True American. When you watch the show you never actually understand how to play it, and when they were filming the cast didn't either. It's a drinking game described as "So, it's 50% drinking game, 50% life-size Candy Land." by Jess, "Well, it's more like 75 drinking, 20 Candy Land, and by the way the floor is molten lava." by Schmidt, and "It's actually 90% drinking and then it's got a loose Candy Land-like structure to it." by Winston. I've rewatched episodes where they play the game and still didn't get it, but luckily for me someone figured out the rules and how to play. The rules are here and it's now my life goal to play this. Only problem is I don't like beer...but that can be fixed. I thought you guys might find it interesting, so there you go!
Peace.

Ugh, I feel so grodey today. Sometimes I hate being a woman... All I want to do is sleep and consume chocolate and stab myself with an icepick to remove the pain of cramps. This is the time of the month that I feel terrible and progressively get worse as the week goes. So to counteract the gross feeling I have I'm going to be putting up happy songs. This song is the first example of this and is actually perfect to start it off since it came out the year I was born. It's cool that this song has been around for so long, and yet everyone still knows what it is. I had never realized what band it was, but I could sing along if it played, so I deem that it has stood the test of time and therefore deserves a spot on the list. Enjoy!
Peace.

Year 3, Day 174
Hi. So today's song is Heart It Races by Dr. Dog.
This is a cover of a song originally done by Architecture In Helsinki. You can check out the original here. Personally I enjoy the cover more, but you have to give props to these guys for coming up with the song in the first place. You can tell that the original band is just having fun doing their own thing which I appreciate, but the remake brings a new sound that I find more appealing. My reason for choosing the remake is that I enjoy the speed more, and the melding of voices is more appealing to me. That last thing is probably because of how long I was in choir, but I don't know. I'm curious which version you guys like better, so let me know in the comments.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 173
Hello. So today's song is At The Beach by The Avett Brothers.
Today has been purely a recuperation day after seeing so many people for so long. I am not a very social person, and super introverted. The best way it was explained is that extroverts get energy from other people and introverts get their energy from being alone. When introverts hang out with extroverts, the introvert energy gets sucked out by the others until they just need to be alone to replenish it. So today I'm spending by myself to try and recover from the socializing. I chose this song because it makes me really happy, and makes me want to get up and have fun. It gives me energy and that's an amazing thing. Check it out.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 172
Hey Guys. Today's song is The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song by The Flaming Lips.
So yeah I did end up going to Sammy's thanksgiving. I actually was there first, as Greg and Lauren opted to do different things that day. They did show up eventually though. We all played games on their Wii and just basically hung out for hours on end until Sammy and Will had to call it a night since they work tomorrow. So now I'm at home, and have a huge headache that comes with hanging out with teenagers all day. It's late, I'm tired and the day is basically over, so I'm just going to put this here. It's the weirdest video I've ever seen and I'm not exactly sure why they are taping food to these people and then sending others after them...the whole thing is strange so you should watch it.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 171
Hi. Today's song is Whole Again by All Night Chemists.
This song choice may seem kind of cheesy since I spent the day with my family, but I thought that it was appropriate. Technically thanksgiving is tomorrow, but coordinating everyone's extended family gatherings meant that today was ours. I don't know what other families are like, but mine is amazing in how we show we care. Basically we all sit around my grandma's table playing games and mocking each other for hours. Honestly, dry humor and sarcasm run rampant at all gatherings. As my sister and I have gotten older, crude humor has been added to the list. It makes for an amazing holiday, and although this year was different (in a lot of ways) I really needed to feel connected. I'm the only one who doesn't have another celebration to attend, since I'm eternally single, but I'll probably end up crashing the one my sister is throwing for her boyfriend's siblings. Unfortunately since it is at her place, Sticks will will be banned outright, and we didn't play it today. I'll have to wait until christmas.... oh well, it was still an entertaining day and my cousin was awesome. That would be my one year old cousin, she counts as one of the changes for this year. Anyway that's all I got for you, so for any Canadian friends reading this: Happy Thanksgiving! and for anyone else reading this: Happy Thanksgiving! for whenever your celebration is.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 170
Hi. So today's song is Hey Julie by Fountains Of Wayne.
This song is so important. It's your typical love song, about a guy who can't wait to get back to his girl, how much he cares about her. Along with the hilarious 90's office scenario and awkward dancing, there is a plot twist to this song. It's about a dog. Julie is his dog. Do you realize how glorious that is? I laughed so hard when I found out that he was singing about the dog. I thought Fountains Of Wayne couldn't get any cooler than Stacey's mom. I was incorrect. This band is from New York and was formed by two guys who met in college. The name comes from a lawn ornament store in Wayne, New Jersey. Why, I don't know, but I'd like to. Name origin stories seem like they would be entertaining. Maybe a book idea? A collection of stories as to why bands are named the way they are. Unfortunately for me I don't really know that many bands personally so I can't really make this happen, but maybe some day someone will, and when that happens I will buy the book. Is there any band that you were always curious about how they got their name? Let me know in the comments.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 169
Hello. Today's song is Can't Stop by Mozella.
I'm having a very low point in my existence today. Ever since my parents started fighting and eventually split up, I've basically become a burden on every member of my family at different points in time. Two years living with my mom, then two years with my grandparents, then two years with my dad, and now I'm back with my grandparents for the last six months. When they first split I was still considered a kid, being 15 at the time, but I have never been able to fully take care of myself. I've felt like the burden the entire time and even now I can feel that weight heavily on my shoulders. I need a job. I need my own place. I need to pay off my car. I need to get myself healthy. I need to pay off my loan. I need to be independent. I love my grandparents, but because my mom has become such a massive screw up since the divorce, they hold my sister and I as close to the belt as possible. Basically they are mother hens, who keep trying to shelter us from the world. Sammy is fine: she has a job, she's going to school, she lives in her own place with her boyfriend and has for four years. Me on the other hand, I am the baby of the family, always the youngest until a year ago and if I'm going to break free I need to do it quick, like pulling off a band-aid. And I need to do it soon because right now I am suffocating from all the guilt about needing to be taken care of. I know you guys probably don't care, and I don't know if I'll even actually post this, but I needed to expel it from my system and writing it out sometimes helps. So there you have it. Today you find out that I'm a scared little girl who can't even handle her non-life...I can't pretend today to be awesome, so I'm just going to end it here.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 168
Morning! So today's song is Come On Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners.
These guys are an English pop band, most known for this song and Geno which both hit number one on the charts. Let's start at the beginning. It was formed by two guys who had been in The Killjoys (a band) before and named the band after a popular drug in the soul scene at the time. The drug was dextroamphetamine. The midnight runners part of the name is a nod to how the drug makes you feel. All the other guys joined the group and they released their first album, but unfortunately after that most members quit the group. It was actually due to Rowland (one of the founders) basically taking over everything and having strict rules about what the band would and wouldn't do. I probably would have quit too. The members that quit ended up in other bands, including The Blue Ox Babes and The Bureau. Rowland however continued this group with new members, and new strict rules to go with them. After a dispute with the record company, Rowland brought in even more new members who played different instruments as he went in a new direction to weasel around the record company. It's with this group that Come On Eileen was released in 1983. After basking in their fame, the brass section of the band got fed up with the fiddles and left the group and formed the TKO Horns. After a two year break Rowland and what was left of the Dexys released another album. Because of Rowland's rules, the album tanked and the group disbanded in 1986. After that Rowland had an almost nonexistent solo career and tried (and failed) to form the band again. In 2003 Rowland succeeded in creating and incarnation of the band, a six piece group with the shortened name of Dexys. As of now there has been another album released and they have been touring. It's quite a history this group has, but what interests me the most is how many groups formed from the previous members of this one. It's astronomical by any standards. This group also stands as a lesson to anyone who wants to have complete creative control over other people. Clearly Rowland has not had the best of luck by enforcing his rules, but I guess we'll see what happens with this new version. So there you go: four current members, 39 previous members and possibly the weirdest tale of a band I've seen yet.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 167
Hello. So today's song is Your English Is Good by Tokyo Police Club.
These guys are an indie band from Ontario. I love looking up bands origins because I find that a lot more are from Canada than I realized...although I shouldn't be surprised just looking at how big the underground music scene is in my city. I had been pretty aware of the whole Calgary music scene before I went to school, but then homework and all-nighters took over my life. Anyway, this band. They actually formed after the four of them had disbanded from Surburbia, another band of theirs. They were just jamming in a basement, and it clicked. Then Tokyo Police Club was born. They started out the same way most indie bands do, by playing small gigs around their area. Then they played a Montreal Festival and got signed to a record label. Fast forward to now and they've done a vast amount of festivals, toured with Weezer and Foster The People, and have released three full albums. Obviously they've also released EP's and done bonus material, along with solo projects members have done, so there is lots of material for you to check out if you haven't heard of them.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 166
Hey. So today's song is My Town by Buck-O-Nine.
I hate waiting for emails. It's so boring and annoying and irks me to no end. I sent professional emails that simply require a yes or no answer and no one will get back to me. Since I've been just waiting around, I decided to do more research on the bands while I wait. Let's start with this one. These guys formed in 1991 and are a ska punk band. Some of you may be younger and not know what ska even means, but ska-punk got really popular around the time of this band. Ska-punk basically means that you're mixing the punk vocals with fast tempos and a cleaner vocal/musical sound. So let's break it down a little bit: Ska first appeared in Jamaica in the 1950's and is characterized by the walking bass (regular quarter note movement) and accented rhythms on the upbeat. There are three notable periods of ska. The first is the Jamaican scene, and then in the 1970's ska was mixed with punk to create ska-punk, the movement is known as the English 2-tone revival. Then the last one is the movement which brought European bands into the mix and includes the spike in popularity in the 90's. If you've never heard ska before definitely look it up because it's a very interesting genre. My Town was Buck-O-Nine's most popular song and the album is was on (Twenty Eight Teeth) sold 400,000 copies. As the ska-punk popularity faded, the band decided to stop doing huge tours around the world and mostly play shows in California. So if you live in California, you may see these guys some time. Anyway that's all for now, see you tomorrow!
Peace.

Year 3, Day 165
What's up. Today's song is Your Highness by Jewel & Blair.
These are the close ups shot for a music video. I haven't looked for the actual video because this is good enough. Jewel & Blair is an old name for their group, now they go by Pixikill with their band, who I believe I've shown you before...otherwise they're on the list for later. I follow them on Facebook and they actually direct music videos as well as do their music so check out their stuff if you're curious. Okay, what the hell is WikiWorldBook?? I was on a different computer to write this, so I googled my blog (because I'm lame and have no other way to find it when not on my computer) and I found something weird. This blog, this exact thing that's mine was attached to the wikiworldbook for people with my name. Of course, absolutely none of the profiles or pictures are me because mine is about as common a name as John Smith, but basically all the links were for here. It kinda freaked me out to be honest. I'm fine with people reading this obviously or why have it online, I've just never found something that connected to me before. And I've been googling myself since junior high. You get comedians, writers, actors, photographers (apparently we're a creative bunch), doctors, athletes, and atheist-blogger-haters before you would get to me. I don't think I even make the top 25 pages on Google search. I should probably be happy that I have such a blend-able name, but I'm not happy when trying to make a professional email. That sucks. I'm just curious if you guys have checked yourself lately to see how you measure up to...well the other you's.

Year 3, Day 164
Hi guys. So today's song is Compass by Lady Antebellum.
I love the effect of those lights or glow sticks. To be honest I'm not really sure what it is that makes it possible to write letters in the air, but I do know it's a similar effect that you see in pictures of car headlights. I could easily look it up if I wanted to, but I like to have some mystery in life. For example, I do not hypothesize about what will happen in a TV show, who the killer is or anything like that. Not because I don't know (because everything follows the same painful story line anymore) but because I don't want to ruin it for myself. You need to just live in the moment and enjoy things instead of calculating them sometimes. My choir teacher would often tell us not to go on autopilot while singing, and I think that's an accurate description for how I handle entertainment in general. I like to just let it flow, which is why I enjoy watching this video. It's not forced in any way, it just seems fun. I love the use of the color dye too. If I ever get in good enough shape I want to participate in Color Me Rad when it comes through town. Anyway I thought this was a pretty great song and perfect for an optimistic lazy sunday which I have been having so far.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 163
Hey. So today's song is Walcott by Vampire Weekend.
It's only been a few hours since my last post, despite technically being different days. I don't know what's wrong with me. Yesterday I woke up for some reason at 2 am and couldn't go back to sleep, so last night when I hit the hay and midnight I figured I'd be out cold. Apparently not though since once again at 2 am, after only two hours of sleep, I woke up again. So apparently my body has trained itself to not let me sleep or something keeps happening that I don't know about which is waking me up. It is really bothering me. I'm so exhausted, but there's no use trying to go back to sleep, I know from yesterday it wont work. Instead I figured I'd write this and get it out of the way because I may end up sleeping all day once the sun comes up. My vampire ways just keep coming back...and that's why it's this song for today. When feeling like a vampire, what better band to listen to than Vampire Weekend because (omg) it's actually the weekend too. Ba dum tsss! Yeah I know that was ridiculous, but like I said I'm running low on energy and probably active brain cells. There's a special place in my heart for these people who upload full albums on YouTube. It makes it so much easier to find music you like without having to buy a CD, because sometimes it ends up being a crap purchase. Anyway that's it for now, enjoy the music and catch a few Zz's for me.
Peace.

Peace.
Year 3, Day 162
Hello. So today's song is Just Can't Get Enough by Depeche Mode.
I had the meeting with Enactus today. It was kind of incredible. This little project that we were working on as a school assignment, just two of us doing most of it has now evolved into a team of about twenty people. And it's not just business students trying to figure it out like we were doing, but lots of engineering students and some who have their PhD. Color me impressed that something I started is leveling up into the big leagues and will actually be completed. Our theoretical design will become a reality! The only problem with this whole thing is that our biodiesel guru is no longer at SAIT. I can't really imagine us doing the project without Connor, but there's no way to find him now that he's gone. I just wish I knew what happened to make him leave... I'll have to buck up for the team and work past it so that's what I'm going to try to do. If you're wondering why this is so late, I actually went to the bar with Steph to talk about the project. It was awesome getting out to see friends that are mine (that I didn't make through other people) but I didn't stay long. Too many football fans everywhere. On the plus side I proved that I can have a life outside my nosy family so go me! Anyway, this is a pretty known song, so I don't think I need to explain it. It kind of suits the way biodiesel keeps popping up in my life. Apparently it can't get enough of me. Enjoy!
Peace.

Year 3, Day 161
What's up! So today I have for you ATL to LA to ME by STAMPS the band.
I am now a consultant! No this isn't a job that I've gotten, I'm still waiting on that. The biodiesel thing we worked so much on in school is for sure being picked up by Enactus, and their team that's taking over wants us on board. It may have something to do with the fact that we are the ones with all the contact information for the companies who wanted in on the project. Though I have no interest in presenting again I guess I'll like being the expert on something. Which means that today I need to familiarize myself with our stuff again so I can actually answer questions. That should be fun... So this band. I guess there are a lot of bands that have similar names so I'm hoping this is the correct picture and typing for this one. As far as I can tell these guys are from Los Angeles. I can't figure out if this group is different than Stamps the Band and it's really bothering me. This is the problem with having both male and female singers, and not having every video labelled the same. If you guys know what the deal is please enlighten me.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 160
Hi guys. Today's song is Daylight by Matt and Kim.
I have nothing really going on today except having a marathon of Castle. I've never seen it before, but I started watching it and it seems awesome so far. I'm up to season two now, and I laughed for a solid ten minutes at the reference to Firefly. They brought it in perfectly! Ugh I miss that show... I had seen a post the other day that said "the generation that cancelled Firefly and removed Pluto’s planetary status are getting too old to stop us bringing both of them back." Well, from an article I read, Pluto has it's status back so now we just need more Firefly!! Anyway this is a song from 2008, and it's such a happy tune so I thought it was a good one to show off.
Peace.
