Hey everyone. So today's song is Find Yourself In You by Everlife.

We have a girl band! This is all I ever wanted to be when I was a kid. This right here, the whole image and sound of these guys is my childhood dream. Obviously that didn't happen for me,  but this band does exist at least. You can tell what kind of message they're sending in the lyrics by the fact that Everlife is backed by Disney. Listen to the words and you'll see what I mean.

Hello. So today's song is Coming For You by Jojo.

Awhile ago I said something about how Jojo just disappeared and no one knew what happened. Well, apparently she just left my radar. I found this a few days ago and was so confused. It's so good too, so the fact that she left the public eye seems strange to me. She should be a huge star! Maybe she didn't want that though.  Oh well. This song is an anthem for lots of girls. One one side, we have Taylor Swift with her break up song, and then this is the opposite end. Check it out, it's pretty cool.

Hiya. So today I give you What's Up Doc (Can We Rock) by Fu-Schnickens vs. Hardknox.

Yet another song from the Bring It On marathon I had. I don't know why I find this song so entertaining. I mean, I usually don't choose to listen to music like this. It's just not my style. I just want to dance to this, and when I say dance I'm talking about nerdy white girl dancing. It's bad. So if you're in a dorky dancing mood, give this song a listen.

Hey. So today's song is Be Good To Me by Ashley Tisdale.

I love this song. Truthfully, it's today's song because I've been watching a Bring It On marathon... No judging though guys because those are good movies. Anyway, the one movie has Jennifer Tisdale acting in it, which as you can probably guess is Ashley's sister. So they use a lot of her music in the movie. It's a great song that always makes me want to dance. I think that's a good thing. Give it a try, and you may find you like it.

Hola. So today I give you Desperate Measures by Marianas Trench.

I love how these guys are so cool with making fun of themselves. It's a good quality to have. I don't even need to explain why I love these guys to you, because it's for the same reasons I say I love other bands...pretty much everything they do. All of their music is fantastic, but I chose this song because it is so catchy and I've been hearing it everywhere. The good thing is I wont get tired of this song. Anyway, check it out, I'm sure you'll like it and if not...well then too bad.

Hello. Today's song is Good Time by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepson.

This is quite possibly one of the most brilliant collaborations ever. These guys make such a great team. I heard this song a few days ago and instantly loved it. The video was playing on tv and I had been just about to get up and leave, but it pulled me in. I sat and watched the whole thing, I was so mesmerized. That sounds strange, I know, but music is my life. If I like something, I can't even begin to explain all the reasons why. So just take my word for it, this song is incredible...or don't take my word on it. Find out for yourself.

Hey, So today I give you Lights by Ellie Goulding.

She has come a long way since I mentioned her last year. Good, I like her voice. This song always plays on the radio at the perfect time. Usually when it's raining. Some music just isn't right for rain, in my mind. This one is. It makes the experience of the music and the weather so much better. If you ever find yourself caught in the rain, play it and you'll see what I mean.

Hi. Today's song is We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift.

So tonight I went to my crush's gig. I drank a lot, smiled like a loser a lot, and proceeded to be hit on by every kind of guy except him. Oh well. I dragged my friend Hunter out with me who likes to go out and drink and flirt and party with men because she went through a bad breakup with her first love. They had this inside joke that involved Taylor Swift. So with this song coming out, it became her anthem. On the drive home after the gig we were blasting this song in her car and singing along obnoxiously. We managed to scare a car of cute boys away too. Apparently they don't like when you scream break up lyrics at them. Haha! Who knew? Anyway, because I want to remember the moment, this is what you get for today. Enjoy.

Hello. So now I give you Can't Say No by Conor Maynard.

So many break out British artists this year. It's crazy. So this is Connor, and I like a lot of his songs, but you get this one because it was the first one that stole my heart. It makes me sound so bad, but I end up dancing to this song (horribly) every time it plays. I don't even realize I'm doing it until my friends laugh at me. It just pumps me up to be out, so check it out. Party it up haha.

Sup. Today I give you The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes.

Now if you want to talk inspirational songs, here's one. This is good to make you get up and go do something or to pick you up after you fall. Either way, it gives you hope. I don't know how, there isn't one thing I can pinpoint that makes it inspire me, it just does. Sometimes you should question why something makes you feel the way you do, you just have to listen to those feelings. So for anyone who's been going through hell, this one is for you. You can be a fighter.

Hey. Today you get Give Your Heart A Break by Demi Lovato.

You know, I'm glad Demi stopped acting. At first I thought it was dumb, because she kind of dropped off the face of the earth after being a Disney dream girl, but she has too big of a voice not to make it a priority in her career. She made the right choice, this is where she needs to be. I like the idea with the pictures in this video, but honestly who has that many pictures of their boyfriend, and pictures that will make up a bigger picture of you two. Also, she could not have possibly put those all up without him noticing. Not logical. Oh well, it's a music video, reality doesn't apply. Anyway, check this song out. Everyone seems to like it so far that I've mentioned it to.

Hello. Today's song is You Need Me, I Don't Need You by Ed Sheeran.

Oh my god. This man is musical legend! He is one of the greats for what he can do and deserves to be as famous as The Beatles, Elvis, Beach Boys, The Runaways...pretty much any musicians that swept the world and changed music forever. With this video, watching is not optional. You have to see what he's doing, not just hear it. And keep in mind, this is not edited together! I gave you a link to a live recording session. I love him. If you can't appreciate what this guy can do, then you need help. That's how much I admire him. Watch. it. right. now.

Herro. Today's song is Whistle by Flo Rida.

This song makes me jealous of people that can whistle! I can't. It's a little sad. My sister and I were talking about this dude and I said his name in the conversation. She just stared at me. Apparently I am too nerdy to say Flo Rida without sounding like a moron. Anyway, I know last year I had him up here, but this is another awesome song, so this is his day for this year. I just like singing along to this while I'm driving. It makes me feel cool and yes, less nerdy. So if you haven't heard it on the radio, try it out. You might like it.

Hey Everybody. Today's song is Mr Saxobeat by Alexandra Stan.

I don't really know what to say about this song. I like the use of the saxophone, but everything else is strange. I had heard this so long ago and never knew what it was, and with a chance encounter found it on YouTube. I kind of love that about the internet. You can find things you forgot about and make sure you never forget them again. It's handy. I'm curious what you guys have to say about this song, so listen to it and tell me your opinion.

Hi. Today's song is Dead Man Walking by Smiley.

This song is without a doubt a dance song. It's for in the club, when you aren't really paying attention to what going on and just partying. Speaking of parties, the one in this video: What? Do parties like this even exist? If so I want to go to one once just to be able to say I did. I mean, light sabers? Smashing watermelon with a bat? Police cart races?! This people take it to a whole new level...at least in my mind.

Hey Guys. So today I give you Shout It Out by Reece Mastin.

Random searching on YouTube has helped me again. This guy seems pretty cool..though I don't understand his haircut. Anyway, this song definitely sounds like a summer jam, just from the chord they use on the piano, and the video shows that too. Just driving around on an adventure in the video is how my summers usually go, although I don't have a boyfriend so I'm normally with my friends. Therefore there is less longing looks and make out sessions than in the video and more "what the hell, where are we" moments. So if you're in to music that will make you happy and make you want to go out, give this a listen.

Do not watch the video for this song. It's so dumb. I really don't like her at all, but this song is addicting. It's considered "the summer jam" so I thought I'd put it up. I only like this song because of how many memories there are of Sammy and me goofing around to this song. So ya....that's it.

Sup. Today's song is Payphone by Maroon 5.

This song is so crazy. I can't take it seriously at all. So, this song came out of him and his girlfriend broke up, I don't know who dumped who, but obviously it was a bad breakup from the lyrics to this song. If some dude called me, and then started singing this to me on the phone I would either hang up, or start laughing hysterically. The video is also fucked up, to go with the song. If you work somewhere that is being robbed, do not steal a gun from the robbers and then proceed to run from the cops. There is no need for you to be in an epic car chase that probably ends in your death. It makes absolutely no sense. Sorry, but I just wanted to share the ridiculousness of this song with you.

Hi. Today the song is Da Doo Ron Ron by The Crystals.

I love the oldies. Why does no one else realize how amazing stuff like this is!! When I was a kid, my grandma babysat my sister and I. At her house, all we listened to was hits from the 40's, 50's, 60's, and 70's. Why? Because it was and is legendary. This song in particular: it's so simple, about an everyday thing, but gives you that happy feeling inside. Please, for my sake, go find a group that is now classified as oldies that you love. It will change your life.

Hey Guys. So today I give you Drive By by Train.

So this is one of those songs that you hear a lot, know the tune, can sing along perfectly, but still have no clue what the hell it's called or who sings it. Well, I finally figured it out. For that I'm proud of myself...even though it was a fluke haha. The girl in the video is lucky. She got everything I want from a man trying to win me over: good looking, serenading her from a really fancy car in front of all his friends, and then she gets his leather jacket. Perfect. Honestly, I've just been obsessed with the idea of some guy serenading me since I watched Ferris Bueller. It's a problem. Anyway this song is pretty awesome, so you should check it out. You might find that you already know it.

Hello. Today's song is We Are Young by Fun.

This song is crazy popular. Everyone has heard it, and you either love it or hate it right away. Although as time has gone on it gets to the point where everyone hates it, because the radio stations play it so god damn much. I never listen to the radio, I always have my ipod plugged in instead, so I have yet to get tired of this song. A lot of you probably already are, so you don't have to listen to it right now, but just bask in the fact that once you liked this song, and at that time it was amazing.

I must share this one. It's Money Maker by Ludacris.

This song has been plaguing my mind for the last couple of days, thanks to Sammy and Will. He just randomly started singing it, and because it's been years since any of us heard it we couldn't figure out rest of the words. We only knew two lines. Then when I hung out with Anna and Rebecca, I mentioned this, and they just started singing the whole song, in sync, in the same voice. It was one of the funniest things of my life. Anyway, since I've been stuck with it for so long, I thought I'd share the love and maybe drive you mad as well.

Okay, Today is One Thing by One Direction.

Okay guys, no judging me for this. I'm trying to make a point. I was hanging out with Anna and Rebecca at the mall. This song was playing on the radio in the store we were in and Rebecca wanted to sing along, but didn't want people judging her for liking that song. That is not cool, you should never hide from your music choices. Ever. Because of how strongly I feel about that, this song is here today, and I will gladly sing along as loud as physically possible in front of randoms. So...ya.

Hey everyone. Today's song is Want You Back by Cher Lloyd.

So this song Sammy showed me, and it's a little strange, but I like it a lot. The video idea is pretty cool too with how she's in the pictures, but not there....just watch it and you'll see what I mean. She's obviously British, you can hear it when she sings. Which is awesome, I'm glad that we're getting more variations on music than just every person living in LA currently. She's a good entertainer and I'm glad she exploded on the scene. Check it out.

Year 2, Day 7

Hey. Today I give you Glad You Came by The Wanted.

I kind of really love this song, and I think I only like it so much because Anna and Will hate it. Anytime I hear it when I'm with them I blast it, sing along and do really dorky dance moves (because dorky is all I got) which normally earns me a glare. I had no idea there was more than one person singing. Now that I'm paying attention to it, you can hear the difference in voices, but it's so subtle. I have nothing to say about this video. It's what everyone assumes life should be like and is just so....overused. I couldn't watch it, but the music holds it own on this one. So listen to the song, watch the video if you feel like it, but I'm impartial to that.

Hurro. Do today's song is Break My Heart by Victoria Duffield.

So I was trolling YouTube, like I always do and came across this. At first I was like "what the hell woman? You are not in a step up movie, dancing alone in the street at night to no music is weird." Then when the song started it kinda made sense. This song is alright, a little too 'fixed' by a computer, but still good. Her dancing too is solid, but...I can't take anyone seriously when they wear those pants. Honestly, when did that become cool? I don't get it.

Good Day! SO today I have for you Say You'll Stay by R5.

This song gets stuck in your head so easily. I warn you now. You know what's great? Family bands, that's what! Four of these people are related. The other one may as well be from how good of friends they are. This is so good! I love it. This song just instantly makes me happy, and that's such a good thing. To have songs that can fix your mood is needed when days suck and people piss you off. I have a couple in a playlist at the ready to keep me from hitting somebody. Anyway, this song is pretty and so are they, so give it a listen.

I am obsessed with this song. I can't get over how good it is!! There are seriously no words that I can write to explain why it's great or to convince you that you should give it a chance. It's not just music, it's an experience and one I think everyone should have. So, if you trust me, listen to it. You wont regret it.

Hey there. Today I give you Texas T by Bigger Fish Than Guns.

You'll notice a lot this year that I'm showing bands that aren't really big names yet. That's because a lot of today's music isn't really music. It's a computer. So I'm going to try to show stuff that is real music and is worthy of your attention. Like these guys. This is a real band who do it because they love it, not to get the next hit. It's amazing. The song is fun to listen to, it's the perfect thing for a Friday night when trying to leave that work week behind and get into the weekend mode. Some good rock and roll. Guys, I salute you. The music you make is perfect, and I hope you keep it up.

Hello. Today's song is Aint My Day by Head Of The Herd.

This band is incredible. I missed the opportunity to see them in my hometown and I can't tell you how much I regret that. There is nothing about this song that I don't like. It's brilliant. The bluesy tones of it mixed with a little bit of rock makes it unique. This song is simple, but thoughtful. If you listen to the lyrics it's actually about something, and the music video goes along well with the song. For being what many would call an 'amateur' band, they give the pro's a run for their money. Expect to hear about these guys, because this is one band that isn't going away.

Huzzah for beginnings! Today I have for you Youth by Daughter.

This is a really interesting song to listen to. I love her voice, but most of all I love that it was hard to fake my way singing along. She never went to the note I expected her to, and that made me actively listen rather than let it fade to the white noise of my current activity. It just sounds really cool and weirdly enough made me re-evaluate my current lifestyle. For example, beginning another cycle of this blog. So, here are some band facts courtesy of Google haha! This band is from London, and are known for Elena's "haunting vocals" and as far as I can tell, their fan base is worldwide. So if you haven't heard them yet, check it out because I guarantee you this is going to be big.

It's been awhile...

Hey everybody.

So it's been almost a whole year since I finished this blog and I gotta tell you, I miss it a lot. It was cool getting to write things that are more for yourself than for others, but being able to share it with people if they're willing to listen. If you are reading this, you are one of the awesome group that I have music in common with. In this year of silence, a ton of stuff has changed, it's insane just how different my life is. So here is the shortest version possible of what's happened:

I moved in with my dad, as a 'renter' in the basement. We are still trying to figure out that fine line between parental obligations and landlord obligations...it's not easy. I got a new job at Wholesale Sports (because I'm badass) and I kind of love it. The people are quirky and the stuff I get to deal with is such a change from Tim's. I like a new guy, but am still terrible at actually talking to him...I met him at work. He's a drummer in a really good band, and that's kind of my kryptonite. Oh well. And the biggest news, is I'm finally going back to school!! SHIT I'm scared, it's been two years since I was in school and I don't really remember how to be in school. I guess I'll just fake it 'til I make it...

Anyway this past year, my iTunes crashed so I lost all my music. Then my ipod crashed and I lost it all again. THEN I lost my ipod and had to start over a third time! So I realized that this blog serves as an archive to remember all the great music I love, so I can come back and find it again if ever need be. What I'm trying to say is...I'm back. We're doing Music 365 Part 2, and it all starts right now. If there are any bands you want to see up here PLEASE tell me because I love finding new stuff.
