Year 4, Day 191

Hey guys. So today's song is Raise A Little Hell by Trooper.

Today is a lab day and technically I'm supposed to come in at some point regardless of if I need the lab day or not because that's the etiquette. But fuck that because they're making us come in for class on Friday despite the school technically being closed on Friday for a city wide event. I pointed out that the website said for students not to come to campus but no, I apparently am the moron who is trying to get out of coming to class. So fine I'll come in like I have to on Friday, but I'm done my project and not coming today. It's the time for sleeping in and vegging out, not for loitering around campus for three hours waiting for class to start. And given my little rage fit of sorts this song felt appropriate for the day.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 190

Hi. So today's song is Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar.

So my photoshop project that has been giving me so much grief is getting done. After restarting a bunch of times I've now managed to do not only part one and two and half of three, but I've done another version of the first two parts again. Just because it seemed like one proof of concept wasn't enough for the part 3 poster. Now I get to choose which to hand in, but also find something to do in the class since I'm basically done. And because I even asked and yes I still need to come in despite being done until I hand in the project, which he isn't telling us how to do until the afternoon of my last class. Such an annoyance.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 189

Morning! Today's song is The Power of Love by Huey Lewis & The News.

Yes I'm aware it's the same band as yesterday. No I do not give a shit. I like these guys and this is the beginning of an eighties week because I needed a little extra morale to keep me going and if nothing that era's jams makes me happy. So two songs from Huey Lewis in quick succession because we always need to acknowledge the awesomeness that is Back To The Future when we talk about things from the eighties. So if you don't like this group, you gotta wait until tomorrow.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 188

Hey guys. So today's song is Back In Time by Huey Lewis and the News.

I hate being startled awake. It's got to be one of the worst (non-threatening or pain filled) feeling in the world. I have school tomorrow, but sleep became futile because of a storm. It's been storming here a lot this week, a couple tornado warnings everyday, but tonight there was no warning. Nice peaceful night until BOOM! The building was shaking so much that at first I thought it was collapsing. But no, it was an unnecessarily close clap of thunder. Nothing before, nothing after: just silence. It would have been surreal if I wasn't so terrified. Not exactly a good way to start off the week and it would be quite the bad omen if I planned my life around those things. I guess we'll see how the rest of the week goes though right?

Peace.

Year 4, Day 187

Hiya. So today's song is Somebody To Love by Queen.

I haven't been able to talk about it to anyone in my real life, but I need to vent to someone. I have been put into the middle of someone's relationship problems and sworn to secrecy, but basically one person thought everything was great meanwhile the other person was using a dating app. It's such a ludicrous thing and they both still want to be in the relationship, so I told them they need to try and work it out, but still... Like what possesses people to do things like this. It wasn't quite cheating, but it was teetering on the line. What's worse is these people seemed like the perfect couple, so my cynicism about romance has just taken another hit. Is romance completely dead in this century?? Urgh. Okay, the song we're here for the song. I put up the actual recording from Queen, which is always great, but the reason I put this song on the list for this year is because I had this video saved. Anna sent it to me. It's not necessarily good, but I appreciate the energy he's giving it. Also his impromptu instrument singing is hilarious.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 186

Morning. Today's song is War Rages On by Alex Clare.

I don't know if I've mentioned this to you guys before, but I've been reading a lot since starting up classes again. It's because I have a lot of time to kill before the class opens so I've been bringing a book with me since I wasn't issued a laptop this time around. It's been two weeks now and I've finished three books so far. I'm not going to have enough books to get through the whole summer! I've at least picked out three more right now and hopefully those will take me a week each (doubtful) then I can start stealing books from my family. But going back to my old books and rereading them is great, so if you have a book sitting on your shelf that you've been thinking of rereading, go do it right now.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 185

Hello. So today's song is Through The Green Door by Bigger Fish Than Guns.

Maybe it's just that I'm already so done with my class, but I'm a little peeved right now. I assumed that the whole logo debacle of making 30+ options was over, but I had a message today with ideas to change literally every piece of the old one. I mean sure I wasn't really a fan of the old one, but I thought the matter was settled three weeks ago. Now I have to go about making a totally new thing on top of school. I also didn't think I'd need to explain the finer points of copyright infringement, but I guess no one really cares about that anymore. That's at least one thing I'm finding about my class, is that I'm judged not only by the quality of my work, but also the integrity of it. Using things without the authors permission? Big BIG nono. I think I should probably go back through all my old posts and make sure the pictures are up to snuff on that front, but it'll probably have to wait until after my classes. It would be a daunting undertaking for one afternoon. Anyway that's how I'm feeling today.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 184

Hey. So today's song is Demons by Sleigh Bells.

Yeah it didn't get better. I'm so bored! So we do two lessons a day and one final project. So far I have finished six lessons and my whole project. Luckily I've set it up so I can leave early tomorrow by seriously what are the other people in my class doing!?! They were all even talking about coming in to work on stuff on Saturday too which is insane to me. What could you possibly have to be working on, I have run out of work! If I was going at the pace I was last week I would have done everything day one. I've learned more watching YouTube than I have in the class yet I payed $3000 for it. Think about that.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 183

Hi. Today I give you Hollywood Whore by Papa Roach.

I started our new class today on photoshop. New class means a new teacher and so far... she's useless. I feel bad saying that because she's a nice enough person, but we're literally following the step by step instructions in the textbook with the pictures they used in the textbook. It's easy to follow, and of course I'm finishing each of these lessons about twelve times faster than she's explaining it. I've already completed two days worth of lessons and I still spent half the day zoned out not working on anything. I don't know we'll see if it gets better tomorrow.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 182

What's Up. So today's song is All You Are Is History by State Champs.

Well we presented today. If you've been around for the years of this blog you know that I'm crazy terrified of presenting, and since I'm so out of practice it showed today. The only note that I got from the teacher was to remember to breathe. I was hyperventilating for the first half of our presentation. It was mostly because I added a shit ton of stuff right before the presentation that I then had to cover because I was so worried our project wasn't enough. In the end I think we did okay? We got a 92 which sounds good, but I don't know what it's out of. If it's 92/100 then awesome, 92/300 not so much. My partner took our grade sheet and dicked off so I wont know until I can harass him about it next week. Whatever though I got through the first class and now hopefully we wont have any presentations or group work for the next couple weeks. I should probably spend a few hours looking up photoshop so I'm prepared for next class, but realistically I'll watch hours of game playthroughs. It's a destressor watching other people scream in terror, try it some time.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 181

Hey. Today's song is Clinton Radars by Stuck Out There.

Couldn't find a band picture so enjoy this video screenshot

My partner is a fucking idiot. And a tool. Okay so this was a print industry class, so it's about how ink is used to put print advertising or whatever onto paper, fabric, metals etc. He wanted to do a topic that has literally nothing to do with this. So I called him on it, said we should change to something that was still kind of similar (because I was trying to be nice) he said fine then ignored every fucking thing I did. Our project looks like the kind of project I would make in elementary school. That's how bad it is. He wont let me help, he's ignoring my suggestions, he has animated EVERYTHING on the PowerPoint like a five year old would do and our presentation is thin and wont even last half the time it needs to. I'm livid. To make matters worse this being our only project, my grade is tied to his. If we don't do well I fail the class so now I get to stay up all night researching a topic I hate just so we do an alright job. Fuck this.

Peace.

Saturday, August 20, 2016

Year 4, Day 180

Hi everybody. So today's song is Fix You by Vita Chambers.

Urgh. Why do group projects exist. Seriously it is the dumbest thing. I could do such a better job if I was left to my own devices. I am not taking this class to make friends, i don't want to work with other people. I want to be taught and leave. That's it. The teacher said he wouldn't assign partners because we're adults. Shouldn't the same logic apply to whether or not to actually choose a partner in general? I didn't get much of a choice, I'm working with the dude beside me so we'll see how it goes.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 179

Hello. So today's song is All The Way Up by Emily Osment.

It's been a couple days since my last post and I am even more overwhelmed than before. Today was the first day of my class which equals out to about six hours of class time. In those six hours we covered two weeks worth of material. It went so fast that I don't think I retained anything. And of course there is only four more days of this specific class then it's over. I have one project, a presentation, for the whole thing that dictates my grade which makes sense for the small amount of time, but is still a really bad way to do it. What if I fuck up badly? Then I fail. No room for my failure clearly... wish me luck.

Peace.

Thursday, August 18, 2016

Year 4, Day 178

Hey. Today's song is Billy S by Skye Sweetnam.

So I just had my orientation for my class and I am... overwhelmed. Seriously, I didn't understand anything the guy was talking about and now I feel like a tiny dumb baby with no skills. I have bitten off way more than I can chew and this course alone is going to eat me alive. Not to mention Sammy still isn't done her course and wants help. Not to mention I'm still barely started on the other project I have for Steph. And it sounds like she has another one lined up for me already! I don't know what happened, this is all way too much to handle. Maybe if I just break it down into chunks it'll keep me from having a panic attack. Okay, step one: buy new shoes. Step Two: help Sammy complete her entire course this weekend. Then those are done before my first day at school and I can focus on the other stuff. Breathe in. Breathe out. Okay I gotta run, so much to do. Enjoy the song!

Peace.

Year 4, Day 177

Hi. So today I give you So Late So Sorry by Hello Hollywood.

I hate depression. Even when you're on the uptick and starting to get your life back together it only takes one thing to derail it. One action. One comment. And of course my family has to deal with the brunt of it because while I'm dealing with the effects of depression, they have to deal with me. And as hard as I try to cover it up, I can't help but need to be alone. The less I have to pretend to be this regular person when I'm still spiraling back down the better. And I'm sorry guys, I'm sure you're tired of hearing about stuff like this from me, but I'm struggling today. And it helps me more to release it in words than in self harm. It's my way of keeping my head above water. So anyway today sucks, but there's a song for you guys.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 176

Good morning! So today's song is You're Beautiful by James Blunt.

I love how everyone can tell you that you're so creative, and you can believe it, but when you sit down and actually try to do something you realize it's all terribly wrong. This is how I feel right now with the project for my friend. I've created about 30 different mock ups and we haven't nailed down anything. I have no more ideas and it's making me panic! Maybe if I leave it for a day I'll get some inspiration... maybe.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 175

Hey guys. Today's song is You And I Tonight by Faber Drive.

I've elected to only tell specific family members about my big projects and news. My uncle is not going to know because he's always been so judgemental of me. So I'm preparing. I'm preparing for the next family get together when he chides me for being jobless, goalless, and a general procrastinator and failure at life. I'm going to keep my news shoved in my back pocket and whip it out when I really need to shut him up and put him in his place. Hopefully this wont be until after I've gotten everything in my life set up and figured out, but anything will be adequate. I know it's petty, but simple things give me pleasure. And after all the crap I was forced to listen to when frantically job hunting I deserve to dish out some comeuppances. Spite can be a great motivator to get your life together, it's the only way I've survived mine.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 174

Hey. Today's song is Broken by Caitlyn Taylor Love.

Sometimes life is astounding. Days ago I signed up to do a graphic design certificate, and now I've been hired by an old classmate to do some graphic design stuff for her. I said I didn't have experience (yet), but she trusts my work! It's a very flattering statement and now I'm going to be even busier than before, but I'm doubly excited. Now I'll have a certificate, and actual experience, possible contacts for work, and something to go on my portfolio. Once again my life is going in two year intervals, and this two years is starting off with a bang. Hopefully I can keep up the momentum.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 173

Morning. So today's song is Kiss From A Rose by Seal.

I just got an email from my father. I don't talk to my father, we're estranged. The estrangement stems from a number of things, but what it boils down to is that he's a giant asshole who assumes that providing sperms means he has total ownership over mine and my sisters' lives. That mentality kind of ended when I turned 18, but he tried to hold on with a vice grip. Anyway, he sent me an email informing me that my "natural" grandfather had died. This is interesting for a couple reasons. 1. My dad's relationship with his father was worse than mine is with him. 2. I've never met this man in my entire life, and he's never wanted to meet me. 3. My dad drilled it into my brain that I should hate him. Which I didn't necessarily, he was just never a thought in my mind. But my dad felt the need to email me, telling me he died and that they had reconciled because the man was his father and it was the right thing to do. That little tidbit is how I realized this note had nothing to do with the death, but was him using a legitimate reason to tell me that I should be reconciling with him. This was an email sent to both me and my sister. The funny thing is that none of the emails are right. My sister didn't get the email, and I only got it on a fluke because I checked my old email. I may not mourn my blood grandfather's death, but even I can recognize that it shouldn't have been exploited to complete another goal. Death should be respected, regardless. I'm peeved by this, but I'll leave my ranting at that.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 172

Hello everyone. So today's song is Butterflies by Liz Coyles.

Okay this is a singer I haven't featured before so this little blurb is going to be about her. So she's a Canadian!! She's originally from London, Ontario, but her musical influences come from London, England. In 2010 she entered and won the Western Idol (yes, it's a thing). At this competition is where she met Michael Sonier who she started writing and producing with. One of the songs being Butterflies. In 2011, Liz entered another competition called It's Your Shot and won. Pretty impressive considering it featured 300 up and coming artists from Canada as her competition. And as you can probably guess, she won with this song. She's still relatively new in the business and needs a bit of a jump start, so maybe you guys can do that for her. So enjoy.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 171

Hiya. Today I give you Like I'm Gonna Lose You by Meghan Trainor featuring John Legend.

Well...I spoke too soon. So much for being free and clear to do whatever. One second I'm looking up cool designs of things, the next I'm enrolled in school again. This time to do a fast tracked graphic design certificate. I know I'm making it sound like a bad thing, but I'm actually really excited. People have been telling me for years that I should be a graphic designer, and I've thought about it a lot. The timing worked out that I just made the cut for the summer program. I will mourn the loss of free-time but... it's been two years, time for me to stop making excuses to hide from civilization and get my shit together. Of course by the time you guys are reading this post my course will be either finished or almost there, but I wont spoil anything and you can ride the journey with me!

Peace.

Year 4, Day 170

Hi. So today's song is These Words by Natasha Bedingfield.

It's so nice being back from vacation. I mean it's great to travel, but there's nothing quite like being back in your own bed. I can just relax now because my crazy busy schedule is now over with and I'm free and open to do nothing at all like I was before. The sky is the limit about what I'm going to do, but for now I think I'm just going to enjoy a nice long rest... and a lot of time easing my sunburn into a tan of sorts. You would think I'd be used to coming home with a tomato red face by now. At least I can hibernate from the sun to heal. In the meantime, enjoy the song.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 169

Hello. Today's song is Gonna Get Over You by Sara Bareilles.

So the next day was our final day in Victoria, and we wanted to make the most of it before getting on the ferry so we booked a bus tour of the city. It wasn't just any old bus tour, it actually included stops at Craigdarroch Castle, the lookout point where you can see everything from, and down at the marina where you can feed the seals. So the tour was cool. We got to ride on an open top double decker bus and drive through Chinatown and past school campuses and historical buildings, all while getting the running commentary from the driver. Then we stopped for an hour and took a tour of the castle which was beautiful. It's basically all wood and it's so well preserved. Four floors and some souvenir purchases later we were back on the bus headed to the point. You can see the ocean basically everywhere you look from that spot which was super cool and let you see just how far we were going on the tour. Then back on the bus and taken a long route down to the marina we ended up passing the petting zoo on the way where peacocks were just chillin. So we get to the marina and think "oh we don't need to buy fish to give the seals." Get down the dock and eight heads pop up giving us sad faces at the lack of fish...so we bought some. I only ended up throwing in one piece because my mom turned into a tiny excitable child, but I fed the seal that showed up last and therefore had gotten next to nothing compared to the others. He seemed to appreciate it, although I hated touching the chopped up fish. Touching fish is fine but when cut into pieces like that it's all blood and guts that you're touching... good thing I put hand sanitizer in my purse before we went on our trip. After that it was back on the bus and to the hotel. We got our stuff packed up and headed to the Butterfly Gardens which are actually very close to the Butchart Gardens. It was our last stop because it was about halfway to the ferry from our hotel. So walked around in there for an hour, got stalked by some flamingos and were back on the road. We showed up early for the ferry again and got on an earlier one which was actually a blessing because we screwed up the times and would have had to wait three hours for the next one. So by about 5 pm we were across the water and back on the Vancouver side. Rather than spend the night somewhere we decided just to drive back then, so we drove until we hit Golden at about 1 am, took a power nap in the parking lot of the Husky gas station with all the truckers and were back on the road by 5 am. We got home by 7 am, but I didn't have a house key so I slept on my mom's couch until 10 when my grandma goes for breakfast so we could surprise her and she could give me my key back. All in all a good trip, despite the fact that I managed to sunburn my entire face in overcast weather. Anyway Victoria is a good trip to go on at least once, but plan carefully because we lucked out and got in and out before most of the tourists showed up which made it infinitely more enjoyable.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 168

Hey guys. So today's song is Right Kind of Wrong by Leann Rimes.

The third day of the trip is when we really started to do things. We had a late start because none of the tourist stuff opens until ten, probably so the actual residents can get where they need to be without the hassle of travelers, so we went and had breakfast in the hotel. I had pancakes because I've learned breakfast can be screwed up before, and pancakes are generally easy for anyone. My choice paid off because I enjoyed my breakfast significantly more than my mom enjoyed hers. Then we walked a couple blocks over to go to the Bug Zoo which we couldn't find at first because my mom pointed us in the wrong direction, but eventually we made it there and we were the first ones in. This meant we got a one on one with some of the bugs and a stick bug even laid an egg on my mom which is considered lucky. More people joined the tour as we went on, and we saw all the different bugs. I even held a few including various stick bugs and a tarantula (which is something my family also said I would never do). The tarantula didn't even move she was so used to the routine so it was ideal for anyone terrified of spiders. After the bug zoo we walked down to the wharf where we were going on a whale tour. There were thirteen of us so it was a small group, and the cold and wind caused by the boat moving eventually moved everyone except me down to the lower deck. It gave me the chance to have a nice conversation with one of the girls about her job and my future jobs and whatnot. And yes, we saw whales. There were only three out that day, so there was a little convoy of boats happening as all the tours ended up there together. They keep very efficient though and organize the boats so they are away from the whales and there is are clear paths out of the grouping, so the whales don't get trapped. These guys were locals though so they kept coming up to check the boats out, causing propellers to be shut off so the whales couldn't get hurt. Because we were being dropped off directly to the Butchart Gardens we got to spend more time on the water than most, but eventually we made our way in. It was part of the tour we booked to go to the gardens after, so we got dropped off at a dock on the opposite side from the Butchart entrance and came in the back way. Gardens aren't really my thing, so I let my mom go crazy with pictures and gushing about it while I just kind of walked around aimlessly. The gardens themselves were a lot smaller than I thought they'd be (everyone made it sound like it would take all day, but we were done in two hours.) We caught a bus back to the hotel and on this bus was the only trolling of non-Canadians I encountered. The driver managed to convince some of the passengers that when deer grow up they become moose. I still can't believe that they didn't know it was a farce. Anyway we got back to the hotel (my feet were dying thanks so much blisters) so I stayed in the hotel again and my mom decided she wanted to do another ghost walk later at night when it was dark. It was a pretty full day and I hadn't slept in days so I konked out pretty hard. More to come tomorrow.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 167

Hi. So today's song is Why Don't You And I by Santana featuring Chad Kroeger.

Okay picking up where I left off yesterday: we're in Jasper. We're planning on driving straight from Jasper to Victoria which shaved off about two hours of the time, but means we still have to drive eight hours and catch the ferry for another two hours. We didn't want to miss the 3pm ferry, so we left the hotel at 5:40 am. I know that sounds crazy, but bright and fucking early is the best time to drive on the highway. When it's that early the only other people you see are the giant trucks and they understand the whole passing lane situation without being pissy about it. So we covered a lot of ground and actually didn't see a non big rig car until noon. So it was an awesome drive. And we had packed drinks and snacks and stuff so we didn't need to stop, and to top it off we forgot that there is a time change in BC so we we an hour earlier than we thought. This translated to us making not the 3pm ferry, but the 1pm ferry. And I'm talking about just making it. We were the second last car from the back when that ferry was loaded. I had been on a ferry before, but never driving on to one and that made both of us a little nervous considering there was a car that fell in one time at this particular place. Huge improvements have been made since then so all was well. We've driven into BC before, but we've never gone to the edge so I was ridiculously happy seeing the ocean again. It's been about seven years since I last saw the ocean and for someone who loves the water that is a long ass time. We got off the ferry at about 5:30pm and made it to the hotel which was so much crappier than the one in Jasper. It was downtown within walking distance of everything which was why we picked it. At this point I needed time to be alone because I haven't spent this much time with my mom since I moved out, so she went on a ghost walk while I stayed in the hotel and wound down. So that was our day two. More to come.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 166

Hello. So today's song is Fallin' by Alicia Keys.

So I went for a trip with my mom to Victoria. This most likely means nothing to you so I'll fill in some information. We're driving there, which is a twelve hour drive including the ferry ride to get to the island. So rather than just driving straight to Victoria, first we're going to travel up to Jasper and then over to Victoria and then come through Kamloops on the way home. So to offset a long drive through BC we are first tacking on a six hour drive to Jasper. Why? Because clearly we are crazy people. So we left Monday and got to have a nice scenic drive through Alberta, not stopping until we got to the Icefields. Rather than going into the actual Icefields because we've done that before, we opted to go to the Skywalk. For those who don't know what that is, it's this monstrous looking thing: an overhang made of glass on a mountain... terrifying.

My mom wanted to go on it and after listening to my family mock the idea for days saying I never would go near it, I wanted to prove them wrong. And I did...but at what cost. You can feel the whole thing shaking, even when you aren't on the actual glass part. Even my mom was terrified to stand on it! Most of the people there too were travelers from around the world which is great because hell yeah tourism, but everyone is so rude. I know Canadians are considered to be overly nice, but come on people, be polite and courteous! The use of the word please would do wonders. Now I sound like the douche, but it really was bad. Anyway we got back from the Skywalk and made it to Jasper where we got to have a really fancy room (executive for some reason?) for the night. This is already kind of long so I'm going to split up the trip talk over the next couple days, so there's day one and that's all for now!

Peace.

Year 4, Day 165

Hey guys. So today's song is Can't Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie Minogue.

Have you ever been faced with a lot of things to do and no time to do it? This is me right now. My family gave me shit for never answering their questions and requests so one day I did and suddenly now I’m away from home from more than a week. I have no life, but I have things that must be done now, projects (I’ve learned since I’m not at home) that are tedious, but important to me and I will not be able to finish even one before I leave. I’m sitting in my uncle's house currently because I agreed to house sit, so I’m sitting here listening to the neighbor’s yard being redone by shirtless dudes while figuring it how I have 3 ipods and no ipod cords and where these other ipods came from. I’m also simultaneously trying to finish watching something and helping Sammy with some of her homework questions that she’s struggling with since she took time off to do a PPCT course. When I get home from my uncles I’m immediately leaving town for a week and I’m not packed, don’t know what I need to pack and will be without my computer for that time which is my entire life. I swear I will have withdrawal because as much as I love nature, I am always attached to the internet somehow…wish me luck.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 164

Morning. So today's song is Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson.

This whole elbowgate thing is one of the most ridiculous things to appear through politics in Canada in recent years. And there's been a lot for it to compete with. Here's a little context for the confused: basically at a parliament meeting, there was an... altercation between our prime minister and the NDP's. Why you may be wondering? Not for any legitimate reason except that this woman felt manhandled by Justin. I watched the video a couple of times, and it's clear to me that these NDP's are overreacting. So this man was trying to get through a crowd of them, presumably to sign something, and tried about four times to get through politely without any of these people making room. Justin had seen this and got increasingly annoyed (like any rational person would) and walked purposefully through the group, grabbed to guys arm and helped lead him through the throng. In the process of doing this he accidentally backed into a woman while turning and elbowed her chest. She wouldn't get out of the way. He wasn't even facing her and couldn't have done it intentionally. It almost started an all out brawl, and he apologized immediately, yet it has still been a huge controversial issue for months. People are calling him sexist and dangerous and saying that parliament has a right to feel safe from his wrath. Honestly I have been manhandled more trying to get off public transit than this woman was, and those people don't apologize. I'm angry that this is how low our parliament members have sunk now. They aren't supposed to be the childish ones, and yet Rob Ford paved the way for moronic leaders. Is common sense too much to ask for or should we officially put it on the endangered species list?

Peace.

Year 4, Day 163

Hiya. So today's song is Disney Dudez by Todrick Hall.

This is the more bad song by Todrick that I'm going to be featuring (not that this one is bad), but I feel like I need to show it because this is how I found him on the internet. And obviously this isn't just Todrick it also features the band IM5. I loved the concept of putting Disney to boy band songs and it worked out really well. The guys suited their characters and it was a new take on Disney which is always refreshing. My personal favorite is the Prince Charming one, but I'm biased because they chose my favorite Cinderella song. Unfortunately the one I liked left the band so they proceeded to create more Disney Dudez videos introducing the new guy. Here's the second one, and the third one. While I miss the other guy I do super appreciate that the new one didn't take over the Cinderella one and instead went with Sleeping Beauty which has my favorite prince!! Also bonus points in the third one for the Goofy movie song. Anyway if you like Disney you should check this out. Yes the talking is a little lame, but the music is great.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 162

Hey. Today I give you We Are One from The Lion King 2.

This is my favorite song from the Lion King franchise. I know, bold statement considering some of the classics that came from the franchise, but this song is something special to me. I always sang Kiara's part because it fit my voice when I was younger, but now I'm set in my ways about it. I also am a big fan of the family family thing in the background. It overall is just a great song and I thoroughly enjoy it so I hope you will too.

Peace.

Year 4, Day 161

Hi everyone. So today's song is Zero to Hero from Hercules.

I can't do a week of movie music without featuring the Muses at some point. They were the epitome of cool wen it came to performances. And of course this song is iconic. I have yet to meet a person over ten who doesn't know the words to this. Our generation better be showing this stuff to their kids because I refuse to live in a world where these songs are no longer around. I don't care if they feel like old movies are too slow for their little ADD brains, any child coming near me will be subjected to Disney.  Fair warning to all my friends who are now parents. Mya had yet to discover Hercules, she's still obsessed with Elsa so I think I should give it a few years before I completely destroy her princess phase. In the meantime you guys get subjected to my influence. Good luck to you all.

Peace.
