What's Up. Today's song is She Loves Everybody by Chester French.
I find it shocking that I've never featured this song considering it's been on my playlist since before I even started this blog. As you can probably guess, Anna showed me this song. Okay I've checked my list a dozen times and it's still not coming up as being featured, but I'm having weird deja vu about writing a blog post. Reasons being is that I have random knowledge stored away. Like that these guys met at Harvard. And that the girl featured in the video was in a Simple Plan music video. Are these true? Hopefully. Did they come from me looking it up or Anna giving me random facts like what happens sometimes? Who knows. For now though I'll leave this post up until someone proves that I'm duplicating.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 220
Hi guys. So today's song is Number One by Skye Sweetnam.
As most of you probably know already, I'm a fan of this girl. Skye's songs were always just perfect for my mood and I love her voice. She kind of disappeared though. Now I found out that she fronts a band, so I decided to check them out. They're called Sumo Cyco. I'm adding them to my list to feature officially later on, but for now you get a bonus song from them. Tell me what you think.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 219
Hey guys. Today I give you Fight Song by Rachel Platten.
An unexpected thing has happened today. I was asked to design an event card for a local Tim Horton's for a trading card night. It's was totally left field but I made a couple of design and ultimately two of them are going to be used. I'm kind of excited. Despite not using the fancy Adobe programs and not trying to do graphic design, I ended up doing a thing. Obviously it's not that big of a deal and will only be around for a month at the most, but it is at least a start to getting back on track. Which is why I felt that this song was appropriate for me today. Enjoy!

Year 4, Day 218
Hey. Today's song is crushcrushcrush by Paramore.
My shows still haven't started up yet, but I have run out of things to watch. Desperate times call for desperate measures so I started watching Grey's Anatomy courtesy of my sister. I've always been one to bash the show because medical procedurals aren't my thing. I will say now though that I expected a very different type of show based on the ads I had seen about it. It started off pretty well and despite already knowing most of the plot twists I enjoyed watching. Now I'm up to the tenth season and at this point I'm only watching to get through it. I hate leaving things half finished. I do watch shows that have as many seasons as this one, but those at least keep it fresh... I think this one might be dead. I can't wait until my shows come back on.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 217
Hello. Today I give you Here We Go Again by Demi Lovato.
At this very moment I am sitting in my grandma's kitchen in total silence. That would be pretty normal except for the fact that both my grandparents, my sister, and her boyfriend are also in this room. My grandma is playing solitaire, my grandpa is watching a show on his ipad, my sister is prepping for an interview, and her boyfriend is playing bejeweled. This has got to be the most people ignoring each other at once in this kitchen. It's weird, right? Especially for a family as chatty as mine. Anyway I figured I'd take the awkward silence time and write a post for you guys so I don't miss any days. That's all for now until tomorrow.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 216
Hi guys. So today's song is Complicated by Avril Lavigne.
My mom has a motorcycle license. If you guys knew my mom you
would understand how insane that sentence is. I would say that the motorcycle
thing is a midlife crisis for her except that she already had her midlife
crisis about ten years ago (totally ruining my life in the process.) Is there a
term for a post midlife crisis? It’s too soon to be a (third) quarter life
crisis so I don’t know. I get why people like bikes and why they ride, but I’m
still haunted by the story about a distant cousin having all his skin scraped
off and lying in a ditch to die. You know who told me that story? My mom. My
dad is the bike type, and that was his midlife crisis. My mom on a bike is just…
a death wish. They call them donor cycles for a reason. Ugh. Sorry I needed to
vent this so that I won’t say it to her face because she’s too fragile for hate
form me. You ccould say that my inability to talk to my family is complicated. Like this song.
Peace.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 215
Good morning! So today's song is Dark Side by Kelly Clarkson.
How bad does someone’s social anxiety have to be before you start worrying about them? I know mine is bad, but apparently it’s at the point of long conversations about my need for counseling. From multiple people. I didn’t think it was at the point, but I guess I’m a little bias. I know I have little quirks. Like how I prefer to park on the right side of the Mac’s parking spots just because I always have, or that I need to bring my ipod with me everywhere in case I freak out in public. Or the fact that I’m barely in public because I track the people standing near me constantly and it gets exhausting. Some people might think I’m crazy, I just prefer to think of it as having a heightened sense of survival mode. If anyone has seen the movie Agent 47 you’ll get where I’m coming from. So I just wanted to know, at what point would you guys draw the line for someone? Anyway enjoy the song.

Year 4, Day 214
Morning. Today's song is If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys.
My school (or former school now) is prepping for their 100 year anniversary right now which is about a month away. This means that the time capsule buried when they were founded will be dug up. I didn’t know there was a time capsule, but I’m eager to see what’s in it. The only other time capsule I know about is one buried in the mall. That one if I can remember correctly won’t be dug up until long after I’m dead. I keep getting emails about the centennial and to RSVP, but I doubt I’ll go. Yeah I’m super proud to have gone somewhere with such a history (even though their new branding has completely neglected the history) and I’d like to celebrate with them. Stuff like that though draws way too big of a crowd and I don’t do well with those. So I shall celebrate from afar. I’m curious where you guys stand on this. Would you go to the celebration? Or maybe you guys have a guess about the time capsule? I can’t even come up with a guess…. well, they were college kids too so maybe they’ll be a liquor bottle in it. There that’s my prediction. I’ll keep an eye out for a contents list for you guys.

Year 4, Day 213
Hiya. So today's song is It Wasn't Me by Shaggy.
So I was trying to find inspiration for writing about this song and decided to watch videos to procrastinate. Thanks to random coincidence one of the guys in the video mentioned this song so I figured that was life telling me to get it together and do something. So this is what you get for today. I always thought this song was hilarious. I mean the concept not so much because that’s horrible to do in real life, but as far as a gimmick song (which it’s become) I think its fine. Enjoy!

Year 4, Day 212
Evening. Today's song is Crazy In Love by Beyonce featuring Jay Z.
I like to think of this song as the beginning of Beyonce and Jay Z being a unit. The line history in the making definitely was accurate. I mean a lot has changed since the most recent song about him is Lemonade, but what a ride. One day I might actually go through and put together all the songs about, with, or referencing their togetherness just for the hell of it.... actually I might leave that to Anna since she's Beyonce obsessed. Knowing her she might have already done it.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 211
Hello. So today's song is Tattoo by Jordin Sparks.
I didn't actually know that she had won American Idol. It's one of the singing shows that I don't watch, but mad props to her for doing that at 17. Her debut album is where this song comes from, so it's an older one, but still really great. Some of you might be more familiar with No Air which is also from her first alum, but personally I prefer this because it's just her standing on her own merit. Well at least you guys get a bonus song today. Let me know which one is you favorite.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 210
Hi. Today I give you Alone Again by Alyssa Reid.
Oh my god it's another Canadian!! No I didn't change the song order I have set up to get more in a row, this is literally how it unfolded. Fun Fact: I am exactly one month older than Alyssa....actually that fact doesn't seem fun anymore. Her life is so much better than mine. But hey if I was born one month earlier and 298 km North maybe I could have been a famous singer...if life worked like that. I should stop now. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 209
What's Up. So today's song is The Hills by The Weeknd.
Okay, writing these has made me realize that I somehow unintentionally managed to put a bunch of Canadian artists together and I just want to point out how cool I find that to be. I'm sure I'm the only one who cares but damn, good job brain. Finding patterns without knowing they are patterns deserves an internet high five. Bam. I don't need to talk about this guy. I'm sure I've done it before and even if I haven't most everyone knows The Weeknd by now so just enjoy the song.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 208
Hey everyone. So today's song is Million Years by Gareth Emery featuring Asia Whiteacre.
This one I've had saved since last year's list. I just never found a good time to feature it, so it sat in a YouTube playlist patiently waiting for the day that it would be perfect. So today I am finally setting it free. Don't let the beginning throw you, it's a song built for a party. This being because Gareth is a DJ. I went on awhile ago about the culture we have where DJ's get recognition and this one falls into that category. He's from the UK and has three albums you can check out if you're into it. Asia is the featured singer, a Canadian born California raised weirdo (legit read her bio. She refers to herself as a princess, it's odd and misses the mark on quirky.) But her voice is intriguing so this song works out nicely.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 207
Hi everybody. So today's song is One Thing by Finger Eleven.
Yeah this is another one that's been in my music mix for a long time. It's a little sad, a little happy and generally a good song. It's always a toss up with this song about whether I'm singing to it because I'm crying or not. It's just one of those tracks that is adaptable to both moods. I don't want to analyze the lyrics and determine which side of the spectrum it's meant to be on, because I like having a sing that transcends the boundary. As for the band, I've never heard anyone openly admit to liking them. Although I'm 92% sure everyone knows their music. I for one happen to enjoy Finger Eleven and Canadian groups will always have room on my playlist.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 206
Morning. Today I give you Ghost by Ella Henderson.
Ella is a prime example about why exposure shows are still relevant. There is no need to win the competition (although it's a bonus), but the main goal is simply the exposure you get from being on the show. All you need is one important person to take notice. So while Ella came in 6th, by the time she left the show she had received praise from Adele, Chloe Moretz, Stephen Fry, Lily Allen, Cher, and Simon Cowell. The latter of which signed her to his record label. This particular song was nominated for song of the year at the BBC Music Awards. So much lie her, it didn't win, but in the end that didn't matter. The song will always be great either way.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 205
Hello. So today's song is Locked Away by R. City featuring Adam Levine.
You should all know who Adam Levine is, I've talked about him before. He's pretty famous so I'm not going to keep on him. R. City though, that's a new one on this blog. The actual name is Rock City, although lately they seem to prefer this namesake. And of course this is the single that got them on the scene, so it only makes sense to feature it here. R. City is made up of two brothers: Theron and Timothy Thomas. They've been performing and working together since they were kids. I think my favorite anecdote about their career is that they used to be backup dancers for a girl group. It's so random and a fantastic piece of trivia. Anyway these guys may be relatively new to the spotlight, but they've actually written lots of hits for big artists so give them a chance now that they're doing their own thing.

Year 4, Day 204
Hey guys. So today's song is Towards The Sun by Rihanna.
And the last week of class is over and done. I completed the group project with my usual disdain and got the hell out of there. It turned out to be a pretty good project, so we did well on it. And I've got my grades back so I passed woo!! I'm just glad it's over. I have to apply for my credential to be printed and that's going to take forever to be processed, but I can at least add this to my resume and get life back on track. And I'm sure you guys are excited that you no longer have to hear about it. Since you've put up with me this long, and I have the time back, I'm going to start legitimately posting about the music again starting tomorrow.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 203
Hey guys. Today I give you Hollow by Tori Kelly.
Okay I know I said I'd leave you be for two more weeks so as not to continue to bore you with school, but seriously FUCK TEACHERS. This dude has royally irked me to the point that I actually got up and left while he was standing right behind me and am not going in tomorrow for his last day teaching us. I just can't. We had an assignment which only had the instruction of "make a portfolio" so I did and when I submitted it I accidentally sent him half the files on my computer. Totally unintentional and embarrassing. So I filled him in on the problem, asked if I could resubmit and thought all was fine. Which it was until he decided to publicly shame me in front of the entire class because of how large my file(s) were and how ludicrous it is to send something that kind of thing in the real world. This was all after I had explained my issue to him, but he still decided to be a complete tool to me. Yeah I still got a good enough mark (the model of an average student right here) but cutting students down even when they've rectified their mistake is the hallmark of a douche, and not the kind of person I want to learn from. AUGH. I'm so angry. And everyone in my family has been dismissive of this like "oh he was just being funny, laugh it off!" No. Humiliating a person with severe social anxiety is not funny, it's hurtful. Life lesson people!! Just please be kind to others today to make up for this guy's assiness. It'll make me calmer.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 202
Hi. Today's song is I Found by Amber Run.
So I purposefully left this alone and haven't been prepping posts for about two weeks because I'm getting tired of constantly complaining about school, and I'm sure you guys are tired of hearing it. Oddly enough thought the second I decide not to post about school I get a teacher I actually like. Only for the first week though and the dude I had last week and this week again is all kinds of annoying. I have two weeks of class left, but it only works out the seven days of class time. I can't wait for it to be over... I probably wont post about it constantly and I'll continue the little break then fill you guys in after the course is over. It will only feel like a day to you, but two weeks to me. Anyway just wanted to give an update.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 201
What's Up. So today's song is Movie Star by Hayley Kiyoko.
So rereading my books I realized I had the chance to fulfill a missed opportunity. One of the writers mentions a lot of songs in her book. Typical each one has a character obsessed with music, or she attaches a little list at the end featuring her soundtrack for the book (which is fabulous and I want every writer to do that always.) I'm full up for songs for this year and already basically full for another year, but it's at least an outlet for me to find some more music to share. You guys should be excited because I am.

Year 4, Day 200
Hello. So today's song is Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) by Enya.
I didn't even need to be in class today. We had an hour of review then five hours to do our project! I'm done. I designed my logo on Wednesday and now I kinda like it so I'm not changing it anymore. Luckily I can get a ride home at noon and not take the train during Stampede (because it's July when I'm writing this.) Unfortunately I left class at the wrong time because halfway to walking to my mom's building to hangout and wait for a ride the rain hit hard. So I got stuck outside sitting under the covered part between two building for half an hour. Finally I made a run for the closest building which I'd never been in before and got a street away from where I needed to be. So I just waited out the rest of the time in the stairwell by the door and decided I could just make a run for the car when she drove up. Of course when this happened and I ran to the car with my books in hand, the rain pelted down harder than before and I got soaked. This much rain is so unusual, but at least it was only five minutes of wet versus like half an hour walk from the train home. I think I came out on top today.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 199
Hey. So today's song is Six Chords covered by Benny The Jukebox.
Today's class is all a big waste of time. First everything we're being taught is a refresher of what we've learned in the last couple of weeks. The computers keep crashing because of updates so IT is in every five seconds trying to fix it (although we waited an hour for them to even show up in the first place) and I usually have lunch with my mom so I don't have to awkwardly sit alone for an hour, but she isn't here today. She has a leak in her roof and has people over fixing it so I'm currently sitting alone eating lunch in the stairwell one floor up from my classroom. The elevator is down and I don't feel like running back up three floors after lunch, and sitting up one means none of my classmates can see me from here. It works out actually apart from the students whose class is on this floor walking past. Oh well lunch is almost over then we can see what hell is in store for the afternoon.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 198
Hi. Today's song is Peponi by The PianoGuys featuring Alex Boye.
Today was another lab day because the schedule is finally working out like it was supposed to so I spent the day at home working on my logo. So much easier to do without the people looking over your should at what you're doing. I've come up with about ten solid designs, none of which I'm partial to, but enough that I can start asking people for their opinions. So far there are two beating out the others so I guess that's my preferred and alternate. So far my mom's opinions have been the most useless because everything she says is the opposite of what I want her to say... but I guess you could say they're the most useful because they force me to have my own opinion. In any case this experiment has made her admit that my name (which as a parent she gave to me) always looks like it's spelt wrong. I may have taken more than two decades, but she finally sees the reason people always spelled my name differently. So at least something came from today.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 197
What's Up. Today's song is Thank You covered by Mosaic.
Apparently we're doing logos this week which would be great except I have to make a logo for myself. I suck at doing that. Plus my name is horrible for it. It's totally not something you'd notice until you have to design something which your name in it, but my initials are polar opposites (one all curves, one all corners) and they are unbalanced because my first name is so much longer than my last name. Every aspect is contradictory and it makes design work super annoying. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. It's a little sad that this is stressing me out so much. Hopefully some Mosaic will calm me down.

Year 4, Day 196
Hey everyone. So today I give you Some Nights covered by Jake Coco and Friends.
I know most of the last couple of weeks have consisted of only me bitching about classes, but it's kind of the only thing I have going on in my life right now so you'll just have to bear with me okay? I'm onto another class now and another teacher. I've complained before about being treated like a child but nothing compares to this one. I couldn't keep myself from rolling my eyes which happened an average of every two minutes. It does not bode well. Anyway we've left the eighties behind now in favor of some covers that I enjoy. I like original songs, but there's something special about covers so I like to add them in now and then. Hope you like them.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 195
Morning. Today song is You Can't Hurry Love by Phil Collins.
I grew up listening to and singing along with Phil Collins so on this dark dreary day I'm trying to jumpstart a happy feeling which means some awesome throwbacks. There isn't one specific memory tied to this one that makes it a personal feel good track, but basically just a montage of my younger years. Hopefully this is also true for some of you and it'll give you the bubbly feeling of happiness. And if not you can just appreciate this older hit.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 194
Hiya. Today's song is The Sign by Ace of Base.
Okay so it's not from the eighties, but whatever it feels just as old to me. This song came out the year I was born so I never really got into it until very late in life (as in Pitch Perfect time when they threwback to it). You can just hear the 90's in it. It's weird to think that there is a tinge you can hear in the music from each era. And you never notice it during that decade, but later on it becomes so evident to the ear. Creepy. If you guy's don't believe me go test it: find the similarities. And tell me all about what you discover.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 193
Hey. So today's song is Tarzan Boys by Baltimora.
I've come to the conclusion that I hate photoshop. Or more to the point I hate having to follow some arbitrary guideline on what to create using photoshop. I dislike it so much that I know exactly what I did wrong on my project, and how to fix it, but I still handed it in as is and bolted from the class five hours early. It's a good thing this class is ending because I don't think I could take another day of it. That's the only good thing about fast track classes is that if you hate them they're over quick. The downside being that if I like a class it's also over quick. Ugh! At least I have a new teacher too for the next one.
Peace.

Year 4, Day 192
Hello. So today's song is My Sharona by The Knack.
I know some of you may think I'm a bit of a hick considering where I'm from, but I have to tell you that of my family, I'm in the branch which is the most city slicker of them all. So when I say that my hick extended family came to visit, understand how literal that term is. I mean my great uncle just referred to himself as a country bumpkin for crying out loud. I have never heard the term used by anyone in real life before, but of course it would be one of my relatives to be the first. These are also the people that said I was the bad influence in the family (when I was in college and their kids were getting drunk and having kids at 15) and therefore shouldn't be around. Today though I got to listen (I hide when they come to town) to their utter shock and disbelief that my sister and I don't want to have kids. Really why would we want to bring children in to the world when we can't even really take care of ourselves and when it seems like the world is being run into the ground even more than it already is. Shocking... Please tell me I'm not the only one with a crazy as shit family. I feel a little reassurance might be in order.
Peace.
