Day 70

Hey Guys! So today's song is Honey, Honey covered by Amanda Seyfried.

Now this is actually an ABBA song, but I like the cover of this one better because I love Amanda's voice. This is the song because I watched Mamma Mia last night and well, this was pretty much the soundtrack of my dreams till my alarm clock went off. If you have never seen the movie, go watch it because it does have it's funny moments, even if you aren't in to musicals. Well, see you next year!

Peace.

Day 69

Hey everyone. So today's song is Pictures Of You by The Last Goodnight.

So this is the only song by this band that I know, but I like it. The voice is so gravelly. The dude's Mohawk is a little scary, but that's to be expected from someone like me. I grew up cocooned, there weren't people like that in my life until I had decided it wasn't for me. Although, I do wonder what I would have looked like with a Fohawk.....hmmm.....

Peace.

Day 68

Hello people. So today's song is My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson.

I don't even know how this song got in my head today, but I was singing it all day at work. I like her music, she's always been a little different as far as it goes. This video is probably one of the most ridiculous videos ever. Video On Trial did this video too. Well, I don't really have much to say so I'm gunna end it here...

Peace.

Day 67

Hi. So today's song is Welcome To My Life by Simple Plan.

So this is a song I hold near and dear to my heart. it's one of the songs that I talked about when I wrote about Evanescence. This got me through the hard times. It's especially good for today because I'm in a Simple Plan mood and I'm just a little pissed off right now that my friends keep ditching out on plans on my only day off. So, this is when I belt out sad and angry music, and it makes me feel a hell of a lot better. You should try it some time.

Peace.

Monday, December 27, 2010

Day 66

Sup blogger world! So today's song is Picture by Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock.

Today at work, they were playing country music in the back so it inspired me. So, it may come as a shock...or maybe not, that I actually like country music. When I was a kid it's all my family listened to. This was one of the songs that we always played in the car, with my mom, my sister, and me singing the words. I know them all, and the parts. This is probably the only song by Kid Rock that I can stand, but I love Sheryl Crow. Her voice is so pretty. What's your favorite country song?

Peace.

Day 65

Boxing Day...oh man. The song for today is Suddenly by Ashley Tisdale.

I hate this day. It's the day crazy people go out to get deals on things, but at what cost? I have never gone out on Boxing Day in my life. Except today, I had to work. So. many. people. Anyway, today's song is the opposite of how my day went. It's nice and slow. Maybe a little bit too slow, but it's perfect for me right now. So if you went out today, tell me how it was. Well, I'm going to go have my Christmas dinner with the family.

Peace.

Saturday, December 25, 2010

Day 64

Ho, Ho, Ho, everybody!! On this most wonderful day I will share with you my favorite Christmas tune. And that is Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney.

So it's finally here. All the shopping, and singing, and caroling...it's over. Until next year at least. All I can say is Thank goodness! It'll finally not be so crazy at work anymore. I hope. Oh well, want to know a little fun fact? Santa Claus has officially been made a Canadian citizen! For those of you who didn't know, that was supposed to be my first fun fact about Canada. Oh well, it's out there now! So what is your favorite Christmas song? Well I just wanted to wish all of you, however many of you there are, a Merry Christmas!!

Peace.

Friday, December 24, 2010

Day 63

Hi. I'm in the mood for some classical type music. So today's song is Adagio by The Canadian Tenors.

This is just one more showing of why Canada is awesome. They turned out these guys. Even though the music is in a different language, and chances are you don't understand what they're saying, it's still beautiful to listen to. Fun Fact #1: The one guy played Andrew in the movie She's The Man. Fun Fact #2: My choir director went to college with the blond one. I think this is all pretty cool. And to be honest, nothing really shows the beauty of the world (to me at least) is music like this.

Peace.

Thursday, December 23, 2010

Day 62

So today is British Day! The song for today is The Fear by Lily Allen.

So I know it sounds stupid, and anyone who's British reading this could possibly be offended. But this is my blog, and I'll write what I want. I went through a Lily Allen phase around Thanksgiving. So that's why I honored her with the day. So, remember a long time ago I mentioned Video On Trial? Well they also did this video. And it was hilarious. You should really check it out, whether you like her or not, you'll get a laugh out of it. What's your favorite British band? Besides the Beatles, of course. If I hadn't already used one of their songs, they would be up here.

Peace.

Wednesday, December 22, 2010

Day 61

Hi there. So today's song brings back many memories. It's Going Under by Evanescence.

I've always loved this girl's voice. How she is just so dark, but still doesn't resort to screeching like some fuzzy animal in the jungle. I still remember five of us piled into Sydney's car, blasting Evanescence and belting the parts. Pretty much any time I was upset, I would curl up listening to Simple Plan and Evanescence. It got me through. So for all of you out there struggling with something, try listening to this. It could help.

Peace.

Tuesday, December 21, 2010

Day 60

So today's song has a long history in my life. It's I'll Make A Man Out Of You from Mulan.

So this is today's song because it got me through the last two and a half hours of my shift at work. Standing there pouring coffee while singing this definitely got me some brownie points with co workers. This song is just great. Even with my friends, you can start saying the first line, and within seconds we're all belting the song at the top of our lungs. It's pretty much our anthem. So enjoy it. Let it, make a man, out of you.

Peace.

Monday, December 20, 2010

Day 59

Today's song is an old favorite of mine. It's Pressure by Paramore.

When I was a little younger and more naive, I felt hardcore by listening to this. I honestly don't know what I was thinking, but I still love this band. The girls voice is great, and the video is about something. And something important at that. Plus, the girl's hair is pretty. It's like Vitamin C's hair, but not as scary. For reference, Vitamin C is the singer from Day 2.

Peace.

Sunday, December 19, 2010

Day 58

Oh the joys of YouTube. I found a new band! Today's song is About A Girl by The Academy Is...

I know, it's kind of a weird name, but hey! That's how I pick what to listen to on my ipod. So, the singer is really cute. Really. Cute. But I absolutely cannot stand how he dresses in the video. Oh my gosh, I can't even look at him. Remember what I said earlier about anorexia? Go eat a Whopper, buddy. And buy shirts and pants made for guys, not small teenie bopper children. Other than that, you are hot. And I like the music, which is the main point so check these guys out!

Peace.

Saturday, December 18, 2010

Day 57

Hey!! Today's song is Club Can't Even Handle Me Right Now by Flo Rida.

So this'll be a short one. I had to work more than I was scheduled for today so I'm tired. This song played repeatedly when I was at work, and always on my break or when I was beside the radio. So, ya. Kids can take a lesson from this man. If your parents name you after a state, to be cool all you have to do is make it into two words to be cool. So hang in there, Nebraska! There is hope for you yet!

Peace.

P.S. I said cool twice on purpose. Hurray for dramatic effect!

Friday, December 17, 2010

Day 56

Hello guys. So today's song is Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake.

There are a lot of songs that I could have chosen by JT, because he really is a great artist. I ended up with this one because it's awesome, and a complete fuck you at Britney Spears. I think it's so funny that it's for Britney. It's so obvious that it's supposed to be her in the video. Of any of those stupid break up songs, this is by far the best. This is where lots of other artists got ideas for their videos. Like Kelly Clarkson and Ashley Tisdale, who were trashing their ex's apartments and showing off that other guys want them. Anyway check it out.

Peace.

Thursday, December 16, 2010

Day 55

Hey. So today's song is Bad Things by Jace Everett.

And yes, I admit that the only reason I know about this song is because I used to watch True Blood. Key word in the sentence? Used to! I got a little tired of listening to Bill saying Sookie's name. Okay, this song is just weird. It's like, made for someone writhing on the floor with passion. The guys voice is just so low, and sexy. His picture kind of ruined my imagination, I must admit. Anyway, I really like this song, even though because of true blood, when I listen to it I see small children eating bloody hearts. Not appetizing...

Peace.

Day 54

Hi! I had no inspiration for a song today, so I started surfing YouTube. Today's song is Pyromania by Cascada.

So, I have never heard this song before today, but I just wanted to raise the question. How in the world do those guys dance with those huge helmets on their head?? It looks like their necks got stuck in a fish bowl. I do admit that it is strangely hypnotizing to watch though... Can I say just how great it is to FINALLY see a female singer from this generation that isn't slowly deteriorating before our eyes because of anorexia or one of the other millions of disorders plaguing us lately. Honestly, as someone who is not a stick, I salute those who have a normal body type. You are not chubby, you are normal. And to those of you starving yourselves: you are not normal... or even skinny for that matter. You are a pencil. Sooner or later, you are going to snap. Before that happens, please just go eat a Whopper. Now.

Peace.

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Day 53

Sup! Yes, it's early in the morning. It's my day off so I've been watching the TV shows I always miss. One of those is Victorious. So today's song is Freak The Freak Out by Victoria Justice.

When I saw this, I just thought it was so hilarious. First because of her outfit at the beginning and the dance moves that went with it, but also because the bitches got pwned. Like, she jumped on the table they were at. I wish I had an opportunity and a backbone to do something like this, but I'd probably just biff it ruining my point. Anyway, you should check out the show. Of any characters I think I'm like Jade the most. It's kind of sad...

Peace.

Monday, December 13, 2010

Day 52

OMGWTFBBQ!!! Sorry, I just realized I didn't make a big deal about hitting 50 yesterday! Congratulations to me for actually doing this everyday. Pretty fucking epic, if I do say so myself. Anyway, today's song is Outrageous by Britney Spears.

That's right. Britney Spears. She's like a cockroach, she just wont die! (music business die that is) Like, she came back from the damn atomic bomb of her mental breakdown and Federline shit, even the bald head. And she is still making music. Jeez, she needs to just retire and leave it up to her little sister to do this stuff...but I do admit I liked the movie Crossroads. I know, I'm ashamed of myself too. Whatever, she's a fucking legend by now, so might as well just ride the wave.

Peace.

Day 51

Hi. I know, I'm late. I went to a movie with my sister and her friends and they waited till the late showing. Anyway today's song is California Gurls by Katy Perry.

I know what you're thinking. Katy Perry? Really, now? I'm sorry, but it was fate. They played literally every Katy Perry song there is on the radio today while I was at work. It was madness. So today you just have to deal with fucking Katy Perry music.

Peace.

P.S. Everyone should go see Tangled in theatres. It's really good. Disney is making their comeback. Finally.

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Day 50

Hello, Hello. I just got off work and (for some reason) this is what I was singing in my head on the way home. I haven't even heard it play today, but I guess that's how my mind works. Today's song is Dynamite by Taio Cruz.

So this song has become legendary since it came out. Do you realize how many facebook groups now use the line from the song, but switched to something else. I can't even explain how crazy it is so I'll just show you some of my favorites. I throw my Spanish in the air sometimes, saying "Ay-oh, no comprendo!"  I throw my diapers in the air sometimes, Saying ayyyoo, what's that smell yo? I throw my skittles in the air sometimes, saying Ay oh! Taste the rainbow! I throw my homework in the air sometimes, saying ay-oh! I'll take a zero!

Peace.

Friday, December 10, 2010

Day 49

So yesterday I realized that I mentioned Lady Gaga, but she has not appeared on the list. So, today's song is Just Dance by Lady Gaga.

When this song first came out, I was obsessed with it. I even made it my alarm ringtone, but after hearing it everyday as the thing that made me get up, I hated it. I wanted to destroy my phone. It's been awhile now though, so I can finally stand to listen to it again. Lady Gaga is just crazy. I know, everyone says it, but it is true. I like that about her though. She may be absolutely insane, but she is at least being herself, and doesn't care what people think. Everyone has an opinion about Lady Gaga. They either love her, or hate her. What do you think?

Peace.

Thursday, December 9, 2010

Day 48

Hello. So I finally decided to watch Glee last night and they did this song that stuck in my head. So, today's song is Dog Days Are Over by Florence And The Machine.

It's amazing that she looks so normal in the picture here, because from what I saw in the video, she is crazy. Like, Lady Gaga crazy. Oh well, she makes good music, so I can put up with the insane music videos. I heard this song first in a commercial, and had no idea what it was, but it always got stuck in my head. So when I saw it on Glee, I was so shocked, and stoked. This is definitely going to be added to my ipod, and should be added to yours too.

Peace.

Wednesday, December 8, 2010

Day 47

And it's a new day. So today's song is Life Is A Show by Cassie Steele.

So for those of you who don't know, Cassie was on the show Degrassi. She pretty much grew up on it actually. When she started singing on the show, I just loved the sound of her voice. So since I saw the newer Degrassi movie, I searched more music by her. It was vastly different than on the show. I like the music from the show much better, and this is what I'm showing you. It's the final song on the movie, and has a big epic scene of rocking out on a bus. So check out more of her stuff, you may like it if you like something with an edge.

Peace.

Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Day 46

Hello, so this is a new band that I found and I really like them, so today's song is How You Love Me Now by Hey Monday.

I just love the voice a lot. They seem like their having so much fun. See, this is why I wanted to be in a band when I was younger. I had been aiming for something like this! The band just looks so hardcore, but their sound isn't. And I mean that as a good thing!! I like that they can be who they want to be as a band without the pressures of fame bearing down on them. Anyway, I think that they should have way more fans than I assume they do, so share their music around if you like it.

Peace.

Monday, December 6, 2010

Day 45

Hey guys. So this song gets stuck in my head so easily, which is ridiculous because it isn't the kinda thing I should like, but I do. It is I Love College by Asher Roth.

It is just so damn catchy! And I can't believe how good of a rap (type) song it is for a white dude. Now I'm not racist, it just is unexpected. All I can say is that even though I don't go to college and am so not a party person, this song makes me feel like it. It is now my life goal to learn all the words to the song. The real words, not the radio friendly version that I've shown you.

Peace.

P.S. Tonight is the Christmas Concert with the choir that I'm in. Wish us luck!

Sunday, December 5, 2010

Day 44

Hey people! So I'm at my sister's house and that's why I'm kinda late. So today's song is Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit by Neil Patrick Harris.

So this guy is just amazing. If you haven't watched anything with him in it, go do it. He was on Ellen, and anyone that watches How I Met Your Mother would be fully acquainted with him. He also was on Glee and Sesame Street. I find it amazing how complete of a womanizer he is in the tv show, as compared to his real life. I love him and you should too. He rocks.

Peace.

Saturday, December 4, 2010

Day 43

Sup Guys. So today is a very special day. It is my friend Anna's birthday! Happy Birthday!! So, in honor of my newly legal friend, today's song is Saturday Night by Whigfield.

So this song is so perfect for today, since it is Saturday and will most likely be celebrating the new age tonight. Party time is right! This girls voice is so unique, it just makes it fun to listen to. Okay, well I don't really know what else to say so have a party wherever you are and I'll be back tomorrow.

Peace.

Friday, December 3, 2010

Day 42

Hello, Hello, Hello! So I have the pleasure of introducing you to an amazing band. Today's song is Nice Guys Finish Last by The Orion Experience.

So these guys should really get more attention than they do. Their music is about such frowned upon stuff (not this one obviously, but the others yes) and the sound of them is just great. I am asking you guys for help. This band deserves recognition for the incredible talent they share. So tell all your friends about them and share the music like a mad person. We shall start the Orion Experience revolution!!

Peace.

Thursday, December 2, 2010

Day 41

Sup ladies! and gentlemen, if any read this. I really am not sure. Anyways, today's song is Express by Christina Aguilera.

Is it sad that this song makes me feel like a porn star, but at the same time I feel like I am the best thing in the world? I just feel so awesome listening to this song. So, if you haven't figured it out yet, I went to see Burlesque yesterday and it was amazing!! This is one of the songs from the movie. Like, I've heard Christina Aguilera sing before because she was big when I was younger, but still when she sings on stage for the first time in the movie? You get shivers. It's seriously insane. So really, go see this movie. I don't care if you hate Cher or not, go to the movie. It's so epic. Go. Right now. Do it!

Peace.

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Day 40

Hi. Today's song is Give It Up by The Friday Night Boys.

I'm way too tired right now for a big writing thing so this is all you get. Enjoy!

Peace.
