What's Up. So today's song is Thanks For Nothing by The Downtown Fiction.

Songs like this are so funny. The words and how it sounds don't match up. The words are pretty much telling this girl off, yet it sounds like their the happiest people in the world. I secretly love it though. Contrast makes any music interesting to listen to. This was a recommendation by the same friend that gave me Hot Chelle Rae. They both have the contrast going for them. The video idea is comical. I love when I show up where people never expect me to be. The look on their face is priceless. Watch the video, it's funny.

Hey. Today's song is She's A Lady by Tom Jones.

So a couple days ago, I hung out with my friend Carmen. This is the first time she's seen my car, and so during our adventure to Peter's Drive In, she started singing this in the car. It ended with both of us belting it out and car dancing. It's not so safe, but there were no cars since it was midnight. There has been a mission among my friends, about trying to name my car. So Carmen told me whatever name I choose, I have to put Lady in front of it. Should be interesting to say the least.

Hello. Today I give you Greatest Story Ever Told by Oliver James.

This could quite possibly be the cutest sad song ever. It makes me wanna cry, and sing along. This is another song from the soundtrack to What A Girl Wants, so I highly suggest you buy that CD, it's awesome. Seriously go to Cash Converters and find it. I had a moment the other day in my car. It was like midnight and I was driving home, down the almost completely dark streets, and I played this song as loud as I could, belting the lyrics. I looked like a fool, but it's all good. Something I noticed, the music's rhythm doesn't match the vocal rhythm. It's a little strange, just listen to it.

Hi. So today's song is Why Can't I? by Liz Phair.

I blame work for this one. A girl I work with came up to me one night singing this and asked me what the name was. I couldn't remember, but I knew I knew the song. I went on to sing the tune for the next two hours trying to figure out where I knew it from. I eventually gave up till I got home. When I figured out it's from the movie 13 Going On 30. The video for this song is pretty cool, it's like a mix of a lyric video with an actual video. I've never seen this done in any other video so mad props for the originality. Check it out, it's cool.

Hey. Today's song is Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae.

So this is a song an old friend from high school recommended. Honestly I didn't think I'd like it, but it just sounds so different than other songs. Especially the beginning. If I'm not hooked on a song by the first verse, than I don't really pay attention to it. But with this song, it got me with the first line. I like the video too, it shows every classic video theme, rolled into one. Plus random Glee kid? Confused me so bad, but his brother is the guitar player in this band so it's all good. Anyway check it out.

Hi. So today you get Road To Paradise by TAT.

So I discovered this song from Blue Crush 2. The girl in this band definitely rocks. I love the way her voice sounds, and it just works with the sound that they have, but she scares me slightly. That's probably what she's going for though so it's okay haha. I like her hair, when she's cutting it. See, I need to point something out. It's okay for girls to say that girls suck at doing things, but if a guy says it, they'll be hurt. So if you are a guy, keep that in mind.

New Disney stars....and they're getting younger. These girls are around thirteen years old. That's ridiculous to start a career that young, but I'm sure they'll be big when they're older. This song feels like a cross between Ke$ha and Britney Spears' new stuff. Either way it's pretty cool, so I thought I'd share.

Wow, less than a hundred days left. Well, today's song is a personal favorite, Think It Over by Wave.

You know how people always say that in their relationship they have 'a song.' Well, for driving, this is my song. I'm a new driver. Just got my license and a car a few weeks ago and I will literally play this song on repeat the whole time I'm driving. It was the first song my ipod shuffled to when I got in my car, it was fate. I love this song. It's impossible for me to hate it, the way it sounds is just too perfect. I can't explain why, just listen.

Hello. So today I give you Stay by Soul Decision.

Back into the pop from when I was a kid. Man, I love this stuff. I used to love it because I thought it was the best music I'd ever heard. Now though, I love it because it's so cheezy and reminds me of my childhood. Even now I'm singing along to it. Years later and I still remember the words. Sometimes I torture my friends with only 90's pop music during long car rides when I control the radio, it's very entertaining.

This song is amazing. His voice is beautiful and easy to sing along with. All I know is if this is how a guy felt about me, I'd cry because of how cute it is. Honestly, it makes me think about my  sister and her boyfriend. He liked her from the start and just kept trying to get her, then he did. They are so cute together, everyone who knows them thinks so. Anyway, just listen to the song, feel that emotion. It's great.

I had completely forgotten about this song, but a girl I know put it on Facebook, so I thought I'd share. Watching the video makes me think to myself "Aww, look. I have no idea why I like this song. It goes against everything I liked when I was growing up, and yet... I dunno, it grows on you everytime it plays. The actual instruments in it is what keeps me listening, they just sound cool, but it wouldn't be complete without the singer, although the voice is an afterthought. Oh well, check it out.

What's Up! Today I give you Everybody Got Their Something by Nikka Costa.

This song is from Blue Crush. I thought it was appropriate because this song helps me forget about the crap from the day (which there was a lot of) and just enjoy the music. Recently I watched Blue Crush 2. It was a good movie, I liked it, but the reviews I read were accurate, for the most part. It is barely attachable to the first movie and really deserves it's own title. I can at least say this, both movies have fantastic music, so watch them.

These men look like champs. I mean come on, that picture? Epicness, right there. So this is an old song, but it made a comback in a Family Channel movie, thereby bringing it to my attention. So this is another song from the What A Girl Wants soundtrack. The good songs just keep coming. I couldn't find a music video for it, so unfortunately you get some really weird fan video for something completely different. And finding a picture of her was ridiculously hard. Despite the fact that she's a singer and an actress, this is the only photo I found. At least I found one though. This is a good song to jam to. It makes me feel happy, even though I'm currently sitting here with allergy issues. Anyway, check it out!

Hiya. Today I give you The Devil Went Down To Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band.

The Stampede isn't quite over yet, but I'm sick of it now, and there's no country song to out do this one. Perfect way to end the celebration. I actually heard this song from coyote ugly, but every time I think of the stampede I hear this play in my head while people do line dancing. I love it, I think it's the most genius thing ever. It just sounds so cool, it makes me wish I could play the fiddle. I suck though, so I'll just stick to playing the song on my ipod. So if you don't know why I used all this country this week, go search the Stampede. Who knows, maybe I'll see you at it next year.

Hey guys. The song today is Silver Thunderbird by Jo Dee Messina.

Okay, ignoring the fact that the video is possibly the dumbest thing on YouTube, I love this song. It sounds so great, and it's about the simplest thing. On the outside it's just about this car, which is awesome, but the hidden message is beautiful too. I wont disclose it though, you have to listen for yourself. Awhile ago I went out to dinner with a guy I knew from elementary school, and he drove a silver thunderbird. It wasn't as nice as the song describes, but all I heard was this song in my head. All day.

Howdy! Haha. Today's song is Not A Day Goes By by Lonestar.

Lonestar is the best for country music. This song makes me so sad, but I still play it all the time. There have been many times when I have crying fits where I sing to this song through the sobbing. I know, it sounds awful and pathetic, because it is, but I'm not the only one who does it. So if you're gunna judge me, suck it. I will continue to cry to this song. Some songs are just too powerful not to use at the hard times in your life.

You'll find that most country songs tell a story, rather than just feelings like the general populous does. It makes it interesting to listen to, like having your mom tell you a bedtime story. This one is about a girl growing up, and having her first love. I love it, because I'm growing up and getting to that first love point. This song acts as a sort of warning, but also encouragement...if that makes any sense. Just listen to it, see what you think.

Now this is country music for the girls. I love playing this song on a warm day, rolling down my window, singing along. I've always felt I could relate to it. Especially through school, when it talked about how rough it can be. And now I still relate to it about the whole moving out and growing up part. It really helps to know that someone out there gets it and having this song as a little reminder whenever you need it is great.

So I live in Calgary and there's a very special celebration going on here. It's the Calgary Stampede, the greatest outdoor show on earth. In honor of that, this whole week is going to be full of country music. It's great to start with this song. I love it. This is the country way of talking about a girl's ass, that wont get you punched...I don't think. This plays on my ipod so much, it's my kind of country music.

This is another band that it is impossible to find a picture of. Impossible. Anyway, today I had a day off work finally and got to explore the freedom of my new car!! So I went and picked my sister up from work and we went to the mall. After a bit we came back to my house and cooked dinner for the boys, which include her boyfriend and his friend. So we had dinner and we played some card games, it was really fun. I chose this song because it brings back the feeling of hanging out with my friends in junior high. It just makes me happy like I was today. So give it a try.

Okay first off, love the song. listen to it all the time. Now can someone help me figure out this music video. It's such a cute kid, then he gets sucked into this book and turns into the old man?!? I don't understand, but it's intriguing to watch. I've replayed it about four times already. How people come up with these video ideas, I have no idea. They are some pretty creative people. I would never be able to make up something like this...well only in my really twisted dreams. When I actually sleep, I have the weirdest dreams, this video seems like how they are.
