There was another hockey game today and this time Sydney came with us. We all carpooled with Will and he was playing the radio. Every song it seemed Sydney knew. Then finally, a song that I knew played. This one. Sammy and Will were laughing at us, because me and Sydney were rocking out to Billy Talent in the backseat. My sister had this CD when we were younger, and we used to play it in the car all the time so I know this song off by heart. It's lyrics are so true. I think it's why I have the attitude that I do when it comes to people complaining about their perfect lives. No matter how bad you think you're life is, it's always better than someone elses, so sometimes you just gotta suck it up and remember that you have a pretty good life. That's how I live everyday. I had never seen a picture of her until now, and man I cannot believe how much hair she has! It's so poofy. Definitely not what I expected. Anyway, check out the song.

Hey everybody. So today's song is Your Song by Ellie Goulding.

Yes this song is a cover. She does write her own music so you can check that out if you like this one. I tend to show you the first song I find by someone, so that's why so many are covers. Anyway, I like her voice. It's different than all the other ones out there. She has the natural inflection on her notes that most singers would kill for. The video she did for this song is really cute too. It's so simple, which works with the song really well. It's more artsy than filled with product placements and that's how all music videos should be. At least that's what I think.

This is another song from the What A Girl Wants soundtrack. Told you it was a good CD. The link I gave you is a clip from the movie. It makes me wonder, what would you do if you suddenly found yourself on the catwalk at a fashion show. It's hard to say for me. I think it would be another of those things where it depends on all the factors of the situation. Can I just say how ridiculously hard it was to find a tasteful picture of this singer? Jeez, it was so dumb!

Hey guys. Today I give you Rappers Delight by Sugarhill Gang.

The reason I know this song is thanks to Kangaroo Jack. I have the soundtrack from the movie and it has this song on it. I play it all the time at work, I love it so much. I don't know what it is about his voice and the beat, but Wonder Mike is my bestfriend. I know all the words to the song and sing along while I bake. There's been a few times that I get looks from coworkers. Oh well. This is the good of hip hop. No swearing, no big booty hoes, just rapping to the beat. It's awesome.

Yo! Today's song is The Pretender by Foo Fighters.

So I went with Sammy and Will tonight to Will's hockey game. They fight about music, and this is what they're compromise was. I'm glad though because I actually know and like this song. It's such a strange moment to be in a car with your sister and her boyfriend, with all of you rocking out to the same song. I have great respect for Foo Fighters. They are true rock still standing in a pop world. And the music video? So simple, yet so epic. No scantily clad women and flashy gimmicks. Just rock, in it's purest form. Enjoy.

So when I went to cash converters, I found Coyote Ugly on DVD. It's a show that I used to watch with my sister all the time on VHS as kids. So I bought it and watched it. Therefore you get a song from the epic movie. The actual song is sung by LeAnn Rimes, but the link I gave you is a clip from the movie, where the main character sings it, because she wrote it and then LeAnn chose to sing it on her album. If you've never seen Coyote Ugly you should go watch it. I love it.

This song is for a friend of mine. He's stuck in the hospital right now, and I wanted to send something out that cheers me up and makes me feel better. That is definitely this song. It brings all my good memories of life back together and sucks all the bad away. I have never felt so free in my life than when I listen to this song. I didn't even know that I knew the words to the song, but apparently I do. Please listen to it, and take a minute to enjoy the bliss that comes with the song.

I was reading a book by my favorite author Sarah Desson the last few days. I finished it today and found in the back that she had a song list. She wrote that, although she types her books in silence, there are certain songs that she ties to each part of the book and most of them were by this guy. This is the first song she used and I just thought that it sounded so cool that I'd share it. Enjoy.

This song is inspired from the car ride with Anna. She was dropping me off at home after coming to paint the window at work for Camp Day, but we took a long detour so we could finish listening to this song. I always feel like this song moves way too slow. I think it's because the first time I ever heard it, it was chipmunked. Either way though, it's a classic, so please enjoy.

So I was really stuck for a song today, but what better place to find one than Facebook. So I hit up my news feed and found this. It's slightly too poppy for me, but I can dig it. All I want is to have that phone app of his. If I could freeze time, I would get so much done. I could rule the world. I find it pretty hilarious how he seems to not pay attention to the girls at all. Too interested in the camera, and barely looks at the ones giggling over him. Strange. Anyway check it out.

I had completely forgot about this song. It was played on Bones, and just made me so happy, so I had to listen to it. I'm really sad that this guy died before I was born because he was a genius. Everyone I've met knows this song, even a little bit. I first heard it on Practical Magic. It's an old favorite of mine as far as movies go. So put the lime in the coconut and have a good day.

So I thought that I had already used this song in my blog, but apparently not so here you go. I really like this song. It's what every girl wants to say to those dumbass guys who think it's alright to be jerks. Any guys reading this, listen to the wisdom I'm about to lay upon you. Girls don't like jerks. They do in junior high, and a little in high school, but once you're in the real world? Being a jerk will get you jumped and beaten by a bunch of girls like myself. So, ya. The video is really awesome too. I can't even describe how much I love the concept. Also, please tell me I'm not the only one who noticed that the guy at the end is Derek from Dancing With The Stars. How awesome it was when he just popped up in the video. Love it.

When I first heard this song today, I didn't think I knew it too well. I was wrong, because I found myself automatically doing the split that the women do for the chorus. I love this song. It makes me feel so upset, but so at peace at the same time. Which is incredible that a song can do that. Please listen to it. If you're going to listen to any song on this blog, it would be this one. I want everyone in the world to know it and it is now my goal to learn to play it and do a cover of this song. So I made the mistake of listening to this before work, so my whole eight hour shift I had this playing in my head. A friend of mine posted the link on facebook, so that's how it is my song for the day. Anyway, this video is so cool. I can't understand how they move their bodies like that. Maybe it' just because I'm not a dancer that I find it so awesome, but come on! It's ridiculously cool. When I hear this I just want to party. I want to have fun, which is a big change from how I normally feel. I'm all about getting things done, not just chilling like this makes me feel. So embrace the awesome, and go party!

Hey everybody. Today's song is Springtime by Erland & The Carnival.

So this is a pretty cool song. It went with how I felt today, I wasn't interested in my normal music, but more the strange stuff. Which I think is the category this song fits under. Having talked about the song I need to move to the music video, which creeps me out beyond belief. First of all being buried alive is a concept I can't even begin to think about. Confined spaces and no oxygen are not cool when it comes to me. But the clincher is the bugs. I hate creepy crawlys. They disgust me and I can't stand even a fly touching me. Bleh. So when that cockroach starts crawling out his shirt I had to look away. I feel like they're all over me now. Oh well, one must suffer to uncover great music.

Fun story. When I told Sydney that I didn't have a song for today she tried to show me this one because it was on her ipod. We were in her car waiting for Sammy, but she didn't have the ipod jack for the car. So, since I had a song to how her too, we both sat there with our headhones in listening to the music. It would have been pretty normal except we were both jammin to very different types of music and some dude walked past to witness our craziness. Good times. This song describes how my day was. Very relaxing and mellow, but still entertaining. Check it out.

Hey everybody. So today's song is Rolling In The Deep by Adelle.

This is such a powerful song. One of the few songs that the music industry hasn't computerized and autotuned beyond recognition. I'm so happy that she is an artist. People need role models in the spotlight who aren't twigs, and especially someone who is as amazing as she is. Her voice is magnificent. She has that gospel flair that all choir girls dream of...at least I know I wish I had that. So give it a listen, and tell me what you think.

Recently Anna has decided to keep testing the boundaries of which music we share and don't. I don't mind this, and so she's been sharing music with me frequently. Belle and Sebastian is one the she had me listen to. I didn't know what to think at first, but I really like it. They're a little strange, but in a good way. It's Prince today because I was having a conversation with a friend about the queen, and wondered of they even have a last name. You see, she's just called Queen Elizabeth. Same with Prince William and Prince Harry, so I begged the question "Is it like one named artists like Cher?" He said that he can't remember their last name, but if they were to be compared to any one named artists it would be Prince, because he and the Queen could both rock each other's wardrobes. Wow. I actually got to 200 days. I didn't think I would. Anyway, today I give you Me Vs. The World by The Halo Friendlies.

So the sound on my computer isn't working today for some reason. Luckily I have this song on my ipod and I managed to match it up perfectly with the video. It's strange to be able to do that. Anyway, this is how I feel pretty much everyday of my life. You fight and fight and fight, but never win. As you can probably tell from the video, I found this song in the movie Freaky Friday. I like that movie, but they could have picked a better guy to play the teenage heartthrob. Chad Michael Murray just doesn't do it for me. Something else I have on my ipod is the scene from the movie where he sings Britney Spears then gets tackled. It makes me laugh every time it plays. The person this is dedicated to knows who they are, and I'll leave it at that. Really I want this to go out to anyone who's having a hard life. I know that there are family problems, friend problems and love problems. If you're suffering with any of those or others, please know that you aren't alone. If you reach out for help, someone will be there to pull you out of the hard times. It happened for me over the course of years and all I can say is that when times get tough, you want a good friend there to tell you you're going to be okay. So take it in, and fight for yourself.

This originally popped up in my life because Anna showed it to me, saying that it "reminded her of me." At first I didn't understand why she'd say that, but honestly it's kind of true. This has become my ultimate pissed off song. When I start to get ticked off at work, and am baking in the back, I'll just plug my ipod in and play this song. After I rock out to it in the back, I feel a bit better. I definitely scared some of my staff members though. Better to be feared than hated. Anyway, see what you think.

These guys are so hilarious. Theirs is another album that I can sing all the songs. I've even listened to it in order so much that I know which song comes up next before it even starts playing. I've got to say that no other band poses for such embarrasing, but awesome pictures as these guys. I like their style, they just goof around and that's what it really takes to rock I think. Hello. So today is one of my favorite bands. I give you Old School by Hedley.

I love this song. Brings me nostalgia now that I'm out of high school. Hedley is amazing in general, I love them so much. Definitely one of my top five bands. I don't have one band that's my favorite, I have five at any given time and they are always one of them. Plus, Canadian band! That just makes them twice as awesome. I don't know which album of theirs I have, but I can sing every song off by heart, including this one. This song almost makes me cry because it's so true to the situation I'm in right now. Although I feel like I shouldn't feel like this yet, I've only been out of school for a year now. It still sucks though. Anyway check them out, I think you'll like them.

Ever seen the movie Teen Witch? I've been asking this a lot lately and the answer is always no. It's an 80's movie, which really has no storyline, it's just another of those tyical eighties romance movies where boy meets girl and they fall for each other. For some reason though, I love it. This song is pretty much the theme song for the movie. Always gets stuck in my head for a week after I watch the movie, so it's only suitable it join the ranks in my music 365. Hope you like it!

So obviously you can hear that it's a girl singing. It's a collaboration of these guys and a girl, but my ipod only has the Boomtang Boys, so I give you them. Gotta love 90's music. It's so ridiculous. I know this is a really weird song, but it's from my YTV days and I still listen to it...although it does make me look strange.
