Day 251

Hey everyone. Today I give you Day OK by Spiral Beach.

This song sounds so awesome. I love the music that other people deem weird. For example, my sister can't listen to my music. She took one look at this blog and told me I'm strange. Oh well, I'm used to that. So this band. One, I love the way the girl's voice sounds. It's so funky. And they take pretty great pictures. I try and find the best picture to put up of artists, and sometimes it's super hard. This band was easy and I love that. So give them a listen.

Peace.

Day 250

Hi. So today I have for you Fire by The Pointer Sisters.

This video doesn't matter, it's a fan made one. I just needed the song. So obviously this is an oldie, it just has that feel to it. I like it though, it's cool. I can groove to it. Then just when it's getting repetitive, the middle picks up. I love the second verse. Where it starts with Romeo and Juliet. It just sounds interesting to me. So check it out, you might find it's your kind of thing.

Peace.

Day 249

Yo. So today I give you Reto Tokyo by Teriyaki Boyz.

This is the most cracked out song ever. Blame Sydney for this one, I wouldn't know what it is if she hadn't played it everyday in her car. The girl in it is so ridiculous. I can't help but laugh when she "sings." I have no idea what their saying most of the time, I don't pay attention to it, but the only part that really sticks with me is the lions, tigers, bears part. You'll find it. Anyway I thought I'd share something even crazier than my usual stuff. Enjoy!

Peace.

Day 248

Hello. Today's song is Never Too Late by Three Days Grace.

I don't have the same music tastes as my sister's boyfriend, but when this played on my ipod he was singing along. His excuse was "Who doesn't like Three Days Grace." Well, I honestly can't think of anyone who doesn't. I love them, and I love this song. It makes me so sad, but I can relate to it. I can't even explain to you how moved I am by this song, so just listen to it and you'll figure it out for yourself.

Peace.

Sunday, June 26, 2011

Day 247

Hi. So today's song is Determinate by Lemonade Mouth.

This is from a new Disney Show that I hadn't wanted to watch at first. But, I was bored and so I watched it, and I really liked it. Finally they've made a show about music, actually be about the music. Their failed attempts include Camp Rock and High School Musical. Fails. Lemonade Mouth actually put out good music and the story line of the movie didn't completely overtake the power of a tune. They existed alongside each other. So you should check out the movie, but for now just listen to this song.

Peace.

Day 246

Yo! Today you get S&M by Rihanna.

We're still celebrating Hunter's birthday. Which means we're still out at the crack alley and this is what you get for club music. Sure this song is catchy, but the lyrics and the video even more so are disturbing. Most people don't understand just what exactly she's claiming to like. I actually do know because I know someone who's in to that shit. Not pretty. And Will (my sister's boyfriend) said that the kids on his school bus were all singing this song. The world is much more corrupt than I remember, just with a melody.

Peace.

Day 245

Hey! Today's song is Ridin' Solo by Jason Derulo.

Today is my friend Sami Hunter's birthday. Since she loves Jason Derulo, I thought a song by him would be a good shout out to her for her birthday. We were on the way to what I refer to as the "crack alley" (actually called the Back Alley) when she played this song and sang every word. It's a good choice for her. I don't mind this song. It's definitely given everyone a new idea about being single if the Facebook campaign to change our status from single to ridin' solo is anything to go by. Anyway hope you enjoy it and remember it's Friday! Go out and party.

Peace.

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Day 244

Hey. So today I give you London Bridge by Fergie.

Yes, I know this song. It feels really old now, and I'm slightly embarrassed everytime someone calls me on the fact that I know the words, but come on. Sometimes you need to jam to silly music. And this is classified as silly music. The words are ridiculous, but it's catchy so you get it stuck in your head whether you want it there or not. Anyway, thought I'd share it with you.

Peace.

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

Day 243

Hello everybody. Today's song is Stars by t.A.T.u.

This is a selection of my ipod. I've always liked how this song sounds, but never really paid attention to the politics of this band. I learned a lot from you tube comments haha. I don't have a problem with them being lesbians, they make good music. Why people make such a big deal about it, I will never know. Side note, Russian rapping with the english singing is boss.

Peace.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Day 242

Hello. Today I give you Bulletproof by La Roux.

I love this song. Always have since the first time I heard it. Unfortunately I never put it on my ipod so I'd forget about it until I heard a part of it walking somewhere. That's what happened today, so I tried to remember and share it. She is definitely not what I expected by the sound of the voice. I expected some powderpuff singer, but instead I see this badassness. I'm impressed, but her hair scares me.

Peace.

Day 241

Hi Guys. Today's song is Perfect Two by Auburn.

So I heard this song on the ipod of a girl I work with. It was strange to hear it, because this is probably the most normal sound song she has. Anyway I thought it was a strange enough moment to share the song with you. It's a kind if cool song, I like the beat. I didn't think I would like this song but I gave it a chance and came out with new music. Sometimes life is good. Hope you enjoy.

Peace.

Sunday, June 19, 2011

Day 240

Hello. Today I give you Magic by The Sound Of Arrows.

To be honest I really don't know what to say about this song. The music video was changed so most people can't see it anymore (which is stupid), so you just have to listen to the music, but if you can find the music video, I sincerely hope you watch it. Tell me what you think.

Peace.

Saturday, June 18, 2011

Day 239

Hi. Today I give you Wicked World by Laura Jansen.

This is possibly the coolest song I've come across yet. I love it. I love how it starts with the piano, and then her voice comes in, which is so gorgeous. The lyrics are great too, and the fact that they made the video about her, but still took her lyrics into consideration and built the video around what she wrote. Lots of bands make their video completely different than the song, there is no match up. But she has accomplished it. So check it out.

Peace.

Friday, June 17, 2011

Day 238

Hey. Today's song is As If by Brian Buckley Band.

This is a cool song. It's really mellow, but still in the chorus goes into a power ballad. It's a great song for just hanging out listening to music. And I hear that they're pretty awesome live. I would hope so, because I'm really liking this guys voice. Yes, it's another unique one and that's why I like it. I like weird things, get used to it.

Peace.

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Day 237

Hi. Today is a band I just heard. It's California by Phantom Planet.

This is a pretty mellow song. I love the message they're trying to send through the video. Showing all their shows and them travelling and hanging out, while playing a song talking about going back to where they started. Nice. It really works. But I don't like that the one smashed his guitar. It's never right to kill a guitar. Never.

Peace.

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Day 236

Hello again! So today I give you You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift.

I'm not really a fan of Taylor Swift. In fact I've never liked her, but the only reason she gets to appear on my blog is because I think the video for this song is genius. I love the concept of the video, and the guy is pretty cute. In case you were wondering, he's in the Hannah Montana movie, and yes, I know how dumb it is that I know that. Anyway watch the video, you might like it as much as me.

Peace,

Day 235

Hello. This next song is When Did Your Heart Go Missing? by Rooney.

This was Anna's second attempt at finding what music we shared. Little did she know that I already know and like this song. Oh well, at least it gave me a reminder that I haven't shared it with you yet. This is a great summer song. The chorus is just so upbeat that it makes me want to groove. And in the video? Oh to live near a beach! I wish I did, but unfortunately all I got is the pool. These guys are pretty cool, but I do with they'd go get a haircut. Just saying.

Peace.

Monday, June 13, 2011

Day 234

Hiya. So today's song is thanks to Anna. I give you Traveling by The Paper Lions.

So recently Anna had decided she wants to find out just how much music we have in common. This song is the result of her first attempt. I like it. It's different than the big hits, but that's what makes it so entertaining to listen to. And how great is it that this is a Canadian Band! I love pointing out Canadian things. It makes me proud. These guys are from PEI, and they rock. So take a listen.

Peace.

Sunday, June 12, 2011

Day 233

Hey. So today's song is Cry by Mandy Moore.

She is so pretty. I really wish I looked that good. And she can sing! This song is so perfect for today. It just fits my mood. Of course I don't have that love of my life, or really any love, but I can still relate to this song. A little. The video I gave you is a montage of all these scenes from A Walk To Remember, which I have actually never seen. That's kind of sad because I'm a movie mogul. So I think I'm gunna go watch it right now.

Peace.

Saturday, June 11, 2011

Day 232

Hello everyone. Today's song is Half Life by Duncan Sheik.

This is yet another song from What A Girl Wants, and I absolutely love this song. It's so beautiful, and couldn't be improved in the slightest. It is perfection. Luckily too, it's in my range so I can sing along easily, which is great for me. You should definitely listen to this song, because I think it's impossible to hate it.

Peace.

Friday, June 10, 2011

Day 231

Hey! So today I give you All For You by Janet Jackson.

I don't know how long I've had this song on my ipod, but it must be a long time. I never remember it's on there until it pops up randomly. Then I jam to it for awhile without really realizing what it is. I can't watch the video, because I can't look at her. She looks so much like her brother it's creepy. Anyway, check it out.

Peace.

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Day 230

Hi. Today's song is Jet Lag by Simple Plan and Natasha Bedingfield.

Normally I wouldn't like such different artists to mix together, but for this song it really works. I'm surprised it's taken this long for someone to write a song about how hard it is dating someone on tour. Always being in a different time zone would suck. Another reason why long distance relationships don't work. It's just so sad not being able to see someone or even talk to them because their on such a different schedule. Anyway, it's a catchy song you should check it out.

Peace.

Day 229

Hello! So today's song is Fire by Milk Inc.

So this band has been around for a really long time. They at least look normal now. I like this song a lot. It is the perfect song when you feel determined to do something, it makes me feel empowered. The music video that I had got deleted, but take my word for it, the video is pretty awesome too. She looks hardcore when she's in the interrogation room. Definitely has her game face on. But I have to say, some people really shouldn't wear strapless dresses. I know they're "in" right now, but if you are bigger than a B cup, don't wear them. Please.

Peace.

Tuesday, June 7, 2011

Day 228

Hey. Today's song is She's Always A Woman by Fyfe Dangerfield.

This is a really good cover. His voice is so unique, and you can clearly hear what he's saying. Music like this is worth sitting down to listen to in person. The simplicity of him and his piano, but the emotions that get put into the song to act as the contrast is all beautiful. It's just simply well put together and really enjoyable. This is the kind of music that I'm not ashamed came from this generation.

Peace.

Monday, June 6, 2011

Day 227

Hello. So today's song is The Future's So Bright by Timbuk 3.

I first heard this song, believe it or not, in a Goofy Movie. I loved it as soon as I heard it, but I haven't in years. Then today, Jack played it on the radio. I heard the first part and was singing along before I even realized what it was. It seemed very odd to hear it, but was a pleasant surprise. So here you go, hope you listen to it.

Peace.

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Day 226

Today is a country day. So I give you Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson.

At work today, country started playing on my ipod. This was so not okay with one of my coworkers, who went on to say she hates country. Honestly, I grew up listening to country so I had to show her that it's not awful. Therefore, we spent the next hour with me playing country songs to show her they don't all sound the same. This is one of my personal favorites, a classic. I grew up listening to this song and know all the words. Enjoy.

Peace.

Saturday, June 4, 2011

Day 225

Hiya. So today I give you Freeze Frame by Jump 5.

So the original version of this song played on the radio today while I was working, and it made me think of the movie Sleepover. That's where I heard this version of the song and so I decided that is a fun enough little coincidence to share it with you. I hope you enjoy the song, and if you haven't watched that movie, go watch. It's funny.

Peace.

Friday, June 3, 2011

Day 224

Hi. Today I give you Jack & Diane by John Mellencamp.

Keeping with my old favorites, I give you some John Mellencamp. Firstly, he is just awesome. Writes about such normal day to day things, but makes it interesting to listen to. Whenever I'm in a mellow mood, I'll just throw some of his music on and hang out. I love the faces he makes while singing. It's just so adorable. Anyway, I hope you like it.

Peace.

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Day 223

I have an amazing song for you. Walking In Memphis by Marc Cohn.

No matter how many times in my life I hear this song, I can never get tired of it. I will never get tired of it. There are just some songs out there, different for everyone that speak to you on such an emotional level that you love them instantly and forever. The beat for this song is so simple, but beautiful, and works brilliantly with his voice. It's like a lullaby. I love it, and I wanted to make you love it too. Enjoy.

Peace.

Day 222

Hello. Today's song is Burning Pile by Mother Mother.

This song played on my ipod when I was at work today. It was really strange to hear, because I had forgotten that it was on there. I originally added it when I was making a playlist of songs from me, Anna, and Sydney for a roadtrip we were having. This is one of Sydney's songs. After listening to it all the way through, I was glad that she showed it to me because I found that I really liked it. So I thought I'd pass it on and keep the chain going.

Peace.
