These guys are a rock band that's been around since 2003. There's more previous band members than there are members so I'm just going to talk about the band as a whole and leave out when people came and went. It'll be easier. So, it originally started as friends having jam sessions before they decided to officially become a band, doing lots of local touring for the first couple years out of high school. They decided to release their music independently since they couldn't get a record contract, so their first album came out in 2004. They released an EP in 2005, and then in 2006 re-released most of the stuff onto a compilation album. The band started getting some traction in 2007 when they switched to more poppy stuff and toured with 30 Seconds To Mars, but ultimately they decided the sound wasn't them. In 2008 they struggled to find their rhythm again, but by 2009 had gotten it down and released a new album, touring with the material for the next two years. Still not able to get a record deal, they worked independently again, even starting a kickstarter for their next album, which they worked on from 2011 to 2013. The album got them a lot more exposure, and by 2014 they were signed to a five album deal with a label. They did big time touring for two years, and then went back to writing in 2016, with the next album coming out last year. I really like them, and this isn't the only song of theirs I plan to showcase, but it's a start.
