David Guetta is a French DJ and has been around since 1984, but I didn't really hear about him until he broke out internationally around 2010. For me David Guetta isn't someone you actively search out, it's more that he has worked on so many songs with other artists I like that his name just kind of pops up everywhere... but hey I actually know who he is more than other DJ's so clearly it's working. Usher is an American singer and dancer who started as a kid in part of a group, but he got taken out of it pretty quick. He got signed at 13 after being on Star Search, but then his voice changed while working on an album and he almost got dropped. At 14 he got the album out, but people were not okay with how sexual it was. After that his mom took over and backtracked him a bit so his second album came out after he finished high school. He slowly started getting bigger until his fourth album skyrocketed him with Yeah! His career has been majorly successful and he's even helped break out some other artists, so he's done well even if it wasn't quite an auspicious start. Anyway, two for the price of one today and a lot to look into if you like it.
