This group has been around since 2004, and didn't start out in a way we all know it as. Originally Hayley was just the writer, as the guys weren't sure about being fronted by a female. The name comes from the maiden name of the mom of one of their original members, and it stuck because of the homophone's meaning. Hayley was signed in 2003 to be made a pop princess, but she wanted to sing rock with a band and luckily her label agreed. They released their debut album in 2005. They spent most of 2006 performing at various shows and festivals. They were featured in 2007 by a magazine that sold Hayley as the lead, but she thought that was an untrue representation. They released another album that year after a bit of member shuffling. They spent a lot of time performing again, touring for their record. In 2008 they took a little bit of a break before coming back with another album. Another album was out in 2009, and they did a bunch more touring for the next couple years all over the world. In 2010 two of the guys left, one accusing Hayley of acting like a solo artist, letting them ride her coattails (which sounds incorrect to me but whatever). After finishing out the tour without them, Paramore released new music in 2011, one song each month. Their next album came in 2013 and was self-titled, made to mark the end of an era for the group. Another member left, this time enticing a legal battle over ownership, which took up some time. In 2016 they were working on their next album, with one of the founding members returning to the group officially by the next year. They've released singles the last two years, and I'm sure there are more to come. I attached a link for a live version of this song, because unlike most groups I find they sound way better live than in a recording.
Today’s criteria was a bit different. It wanted to know what song our theme music would be if we had it. We'll start off with Anna with Charlie Schmidt's Keyboard Cat (which is the strangest one). My grandma chose Oh, Pretty Woman by Roy Orbinson and my mom picked Body Like A Back Road by Sam Hunt. Going in a different direction, Sammy went with She’s So Mean by Matchbox Twenty (which is hilarious), and Will chose All I Want by A Day To Remember.
