Okay so I've featured Barenaked Ladies before, and I feel like everyone knows this song, so we're going to do a really quick overview. They've been around since 1988 and are currently made up of Ed Robertson, Jim Creeggan, Tyler Stewart, and Kevin Hearn; and previous members include Steven Page and Andy Creeggan. Over the course of their career they've released sixteen albums, the first one in 1992 and the most recent from 2017. This song is from their fourth album released in 1998. They've been nominated for 31 awards, and have won 14 of those. While the latest album is a couple years old at this point, they have been working on new stuff. They've also spent quarantine by releasing selfie cam music videos of their most popular songs in what they've dubbed the #SelfieCamJams. In the same vein as yesterday, this doesn't feel like them pandering to people, but more so them being bored and trying to showcase different charities that are important to them.
