This is a band from LA that formed in 2000 and is currently made up of Brian Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Christopher Guanlao and Joe Lester. The original lineup formed because they were all friends who used to play together. The names comes from a liquor store called the Silverlake Lounge. Apparently they used to go in late at night and grab some stuff, making a Silversun Pickup. The band says the name more reveals a state of mind than anything else. They've released four albums so far and have been touring this year. If you like them, keep your eye out for more stuff.
