Good Morning! Today's song is American Cars by Donora.
Donora is an American band whose been active since at least 2006 and is made up of Jake Hanner, Casey Hanner, and Jake Churton. They became popular when they got to the semifinals of a contest run by Verizon Wireless and Myspace. Since then they've released five albums, the first in 2009 and the most recent from 2017. Their songs have been featured in multiple shows on MTV which has gotten them some exposure. The name is from a sign for a town, though none of them are from there. It doesn't really surprise me since when I was trying to look them up all of the search result were about Donora, Pennsylvania and and it's sad history. I wonder if the band has read up on the town since deciding the name sounded cool.
