Afternoon! Today's song is School Days by Chuck Berry.
As promised I'm going to give you a play by play of my Easter. First off I was definitely wrong in hoping Will would show up when he was supposed to because even though they were reminded about Easter yesterday, they apparently forgot. Sammy didn't answer her phone because she was sleeping and Will didn't answer his phone because it was in his car. So we had to go to their house and tell them to hurry up. At least they only live like five minutes away or we wouldn't have bothered. So we had lunch and Will showed up right at the end of that. Then we spent about three hours playing games before Sammy hauled her ass out of bed to come over. She ate the special gluten free stuff my grandma made just for her, then we all played Sticks until she had to leave. For once Will won at it, but he stole three sticks and the rest of us had super hard ones. Whatever, my grandma and I dominated at Five so he can have that one. Sammy and Will did their taxes with the program my grandparents have, then Sammy left for work and my mom went home to feed the cats. Will was going to leave too, but Finding Nemo was starting on TV and he got sucked in. So while he watched with my grandparents, I did the Sudoku puzzles in the paper. I got stuck on the second one so Will tried to help me...we ended up screwing each other up on it and I had to recopy the original on a different paper twice to start over. Eventually I got it right after he left, so I sent him a picture of the finished product. All in all a good holiday once it finally started, but I'm still tired today from all the socializing. Will missed breakfast with my grandma and I today too, but we didn't try to find him this time. I think she was as done with the socializing as I was. Anyway that's my story, hope you all had as good of an Easter.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 346
Hi. So today's song is Tequila by The Champs.
Happy Easter! Today is my family gathering thing for the holiday so this will be short. My mom is already here to hang out because why not even though we aren't eating until one. This is kind of a thing my family does, arriving hours early regardless if the plan. Better early than late though. My uncles aren't coming: one is in the mountains and the other is in Lethbridge with his in-laws, so it's just my grandparents, mom, Will, Sammy and me. Although Sammy is planning on sleeping for as long as she possibly can since she has to work all night. Will is supposed to come over early (well earlier than her) so hopefully he'll be here soon. In the meantime I'm going to keep showing my mom strange internet videos like Shia Labeuf. Now you can see that one too, weird as it is. I'll tell you all about Easter tomorrow! I just want to say something about this song before I go. Can we all appreciate that this song only has one word and yet is still so popular today? Most people aren't fans of instrumentals, but this one has owned over the years. Think about it.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 345
Hey. Today's song is Oh Boy by The Crickets.
I need to make a decision in which songs to show you guys from this point on because I have more saved than I have days left. I could show you the things I've been putting off because I don't know where to fit them, or I could show you the things that I think are the best ones. The question is do I end a shitty years with the best music or do I keep that for the next year when I will hopefully be doing better in life....I think I'm going to save it. Now that's not to say that the stuff I am showing you is bad because it's not. It's just things that you've probably heard or seen already at least once. I guess only time will tell. You know what, let's have another oldies week because I love those. And the songs previously kind of fit in that category... yes, we're doing some oldies. Starting with this one. These songs remind me of being in my grandma's kitchen on the weekend while we're hanging out and baking, which works considering we've been getting ready for Easter. So I hope you enjoy the oldies too!
Peace.

Year 3, Day 344
What's Up. Today I give you Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.
Yesterday I went over to hang out with Sammy because she has the night off since it's a holiday weekend. As far as work goes for her Thursdays are basically her Fridays so a three day weekend for her started yesterday...that's not the point of my story. I went over to hang out, but as always happens she had an ulterior motive. She wanted help with resumes again. Since I took a class that was solely about writing them she seems to think I'm some kind of wizard with vast knowledge of the thing. This is broken logic though because if I'm so good with resume writing why am I still jobless? Food for thought dear sister, food for thought. It was just her resume though, she had the one of a guy from her work too. I ended up working on his, because it was hilariously bad. For someone who was applying for very tight positions with a lot of applicants and hardly any hires, you would assume that he would know how to make a decent one. No. There were spelling mistakes, no months on his work stuff, his school things were messed up...I could even get into the cover letter for the first ten minutes because I was fuming about him even getting the phrase to whom it may concern wrong. I rewrote his cover letter to be more professional while Sammy picked a formatting she liked, then I took a red pen to the printed copy I had. Since I don't know the guy I couldn't even pretend to fill in the correct info, so I wrote note after note about what he needed to add, how the order should be, what was wrong with it before. This guy probably hates me now, but it's for his own good. At least spending the time on his I didn't have to redo Sammy's for the third time...I can only rewrite the same sentence in so many different ways. Anyway that's my story filled with frustration. Do with it what you will.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 343
Hey. So today's song is Pata Pata by Miriam Makeba.
This song, while being one of the last ones from Veronica Mars that I'm featuring, is also from something else I know. When I actually lived in a place where I could use it, I had a dance game for the Xbox Kinect. We had known and done pretty much all the songs (a favorite being Price Tag) but that was the first time I heard this song and I thought it was hilarious. Plus then you add in the dance moves that they want you to do and it gets even funnier. I know that the song yesterday was a little odd so I figure I'd ease back in to more normal music with a slightly less odd tune today....hence this one. You may think that this one is a lot stranger than the other one, I don't know, but I think the order works so I'm stickin' with it.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 342
Hi. So today's song is Run Rabbit Run by Flanagan & Allen.
What. The. Fuck. This song is so weird, and pairing it with this video...oh god it's so funny. I don't know why, but after about three minutes of it I can't stop laughing! I figured this silliness was perfect for April Fools...plus you know, bunnies. I don't know why rabbits are tied in to (what I think) is the most innocent holiday, but it really should stop. They are not the cute little creatures everyone thinks they are. They bite, they chase, they growl and it's horrible. I have only ever met one bunny that was not aggressive, but even then it pooped literally everywhere!! I will never have another rabbit again because they are just too difficult. I should have known better though than to get the one I did. I used to own a devil rabbit and it was terrifying. You can own one at your own risk, but how about for now we just enjoy this weird guy trying to be a sheepdog.
Peace.

Year 3, Day 341
Hey guys. So today's song is Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult.
I agreed to paint a room for my sister's landlady and I'm sincerely regretting it now. When you put together the fact that I never eat or drink anything, I'm on my period and I was getting bad vertigo in a room very much like a sauna, I was not having a good day. Plus I managed to get a paper cut on the crease of my pinky and messed up my knee somehow. I was supposed to be over there painting this morning, but I had to leave because I almost passed out. I was texting my mom while this was going on and she could tell I was having a full mental breakdown. So she's going to come and help me catch up on all the painting in a couple hours. We probably wont finish today, but I think we'll get a hell of a lot more done with two of us than with one. At least Liz (the landlady) picked not so ridiculous colors. She's painting the room white and grey. That's beyond normal since the color in her house so far are green, yellow, red, purple and sky blue with clouds on it. And all of those make up only three rooms. I'm bringing my paining stick over this time so that should help my vertigo, and I guess we'll just have to see how long I last before needing to pass out again...wish me luck.
Peace.
