These guys are an Australian rock band currently made up of Nic Cester, Cameron Muncey, Chris Cester, and Mark Wilson with previous members including Doug Armstrong and Jason Doukas. They were active from 2001 to 2012, and have been back since 2016. Their first EP was released in 2002 which made its way to Elektra Records who signed the group, re-releasing the EP in 2003. They released their debut album the same year, which is where this song is from and it has since been featured in all kind of things. Movies, games, ads, competitions, you name it. They were also nominated for a ton of awards, which really isn't surprising at all. They released their second album in 2006, with another in 2009. This might be their most known song, but they have so many songs that have been used in pop culture that you might not realize you already know and like. They did a bunch of touring before disbanding in 2012, posting a thank you message for the fans. They announced their return in 2016, beginning to play shows again in 2017, then doing a 15th anniversary for their first album in 2018. There hasn't been any new music from them, but I could see it coming down the pike eventually. So keep an eye out.
