Hey guys. Today's song is Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer.
I've been showing you a lot of newer artists recently so I wanted to stick in here one that's been around for a bit longer. So Sixpence None the Richer is an American alt-rock band active from 1992 until 2004, then again since 2007 with current members being Leigh Nash, Matt Slocum, Justin Cary, and Rob Mitchell. They had a decently long list of past members too so I'm not going to list them all. The name is a very odd one, but it comes from a book by C. S. Lewis called Mere Christianity. They have released six albums over their career, with four being released before they disbanded in 2004. When they came back in 2007, they released an EP, then a Christmas album in 2008 before getting signed again. They did some touring then started working on an album in 2010 that was released in 2012. There was some more touring in 2016, but nothing reported since, so we'll see if that changes. This song is from their 1997 album, and has been used in lots of pop culture stuff so you probably know it even if you don't know the group, so hopefully this gives you a little nostalgia jolt like it did for me.
