So these guys are an alt-rock group active since 2015 and made up of Sarah McTaggart, Judah McCarthy, Michael Panek, and Jon Garcia. Sarah and Michael connected online, and Michael brought in the others that he knew in school. Eventually they all moved to LA to work together in person after collaborating online. Their name is inspired by a line from a Charles Bukowski poem called When The Violets Roar At The Sun. They got some high praise early on from artists like Katy Perry, who knew Sarah before either of them were famous. Their debut EP came out in 2015, followed by them touring with LANY the next year. They were signed and dropped, then signed again before releasing their third EP in 2018. Since then they've been releasing singles through 2019 and 2020, along with their first album in 2020.
