Year 3, Day 13

Morning! So today's song is Last Chance by Fighting For Ithaca.

Great song, bad idea. I guarantee you that if you take a toy gun and paint it so it looks like a real gun, police will shoot you on sight. You are asking to die. Also, why hold this radio station hostage so you can be on the air. If you notice, the DJ was already playing one of your songs. There was no need for criminal activity! I poke fun because it is ridiculous, and they meant for it to be. One thing that really bothers me is how they stop the song to add in stuff for the video. I really miss the time when a music video had just the song playing, not some elaborate story with scripted roles. I probably am not the only one who feels that way. Let me know in the comments where you stand.

Peace.

Year 3, Day 12

Hey. So today's song is Barefoot $ Free by Jerry Fish.

I don't even know how I came to find this, but it's awesome. Started in Dublin, Jerry Fish is apparently an alter ego for Gerard Whelan who is a musician and record producer. I've never thought about having an alter ego, but I wonder what mine would be... I assume an alter ego is meant to be the opposite of you, or the part of you that is hidden from the world. In which case my alter ego would probably be a very pissed off bad ass woman. Now all I need is a name. Back to Jerry Fish. You should get to know them so here is the website, Twitter and Facebook. Listen to this song and enjoy the weird awesomeness that it is, and if you have an idea about what my alter ego name could be, drop it in the comments!

Peace.

Year 3, Day 11

Hi. So today's song is Tonight We Feel Alive by Four Year Strong.

Anna would love these guys because of the beards. So this is a pop punk band, but their screaming is kind of metal. The song is not metal. I will make that clear before you guys expect it to be then get upset because it isn't. I love this song mostly because of the lyrics. " Since we discovered we had a say, found that the world's not as cold and gray as our circumstances." Wow! Honestly, does that not sound incredible? Check out the song, and tell me what you think.

Peace.

Year 3, Day 10

Hello. So today I give you Let's Fall In Love by Mother Mother.

Another thing that I forgot to tell you guys about is that my uncle got married. It was probably the most beautiful wedding I've ever been to, because it was really small, secluded and all about them. She brought her parents and siblings and her brought all of us to a little lodge in Canmore to stay for the weekend. We had never met her family before, so throwing us all together could have gone horribly, but it didn't. We all laughed and played games, shared stories and enjoyed the wedding on the winter equinox. This is a picture of the whole family. If you have a family about as big as this (because that's about how much room there is) then you should consider booking the Bear and Bison Inn in Canmore. It's amazing.

Photos were done by Peak Photography. I linked their Facebook

So back to the music now. I love Mother Mother. Sydney was the one who showed them to me, but they feel more my style than hers, especially this song. Not that that really matters, but whatever. It just sounds so cool. My friends are constantly showing my music that they think I wouldn't like. Usually they're wrong haha. That just shows how much my music tastes have changed during this blog, and how much of a good thing that is. So check this song out, maybe you'll find you like it.

Peace.

Year 3, Day 9

What Up! Today's song is Bonfire by Slow Kids At Play.

So some of you may not know, but I love Teen Wolf. Love. It. With a passion. It's all Anna's fault really, because she made me watch it until I was addicted. She's a pusher. My favorite actor in it is Dylan O'brien who is the drummer in this band. That's why I found this band in the first place, but honestly I like the band for more than just that. It's really great music. So you should really give them a listen because I've been playing this song a lot over the last few months and I'm still not tired of it.

Peace.

Year 3 Day 8

Hey guys. So today's song is Miss Movin' On by Fifth Harmony.

X-Factor gives us another group that would never have been if not for the judges. I am pretty glad that they recognize individuals that work together to create great groups. I don't know if I really count these guys as one of those groups yet, but I do like this song. At least, most of it. I could do without the squeaks in some of the words, but that's just me. So check these guys out.

Peace.

Year 3, Day 7

Morning! Today's song is We Could Have Had It All by The Hush.

So this is another band from Twitter, who is actually the only one not from Canada. These guys are from the UK, Nottingham in particular, and I never would have known who they were if they hadn't found me. That's one good thing about social media, how we can expand our reach and discovery things we wouldn't have. I can't even explain how much I love this song. When I'm having a bad day this is on the playlist to cheer me up, it's just so uplifting. So as promised, here is the band's Facebook and Twitter, but their website wont open for me. It might just be my computer, but this should be enough for you guys. Enjoy!

Peace.
