Year 2, Day 75

Hello. Today I give you You Are Not by Young Guns.

Well for this band, the comments on the YouTube video say it all. This is an amazing band making incredible music in an age when lots of music is crap. It's rare to find vevo music that isn't another pop princess coming on the scene so it was quite a surprise to find these guys. Check them out if you're a fan of good music.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 74

Hey, so today's song is The Reason by Hoobastank.

I haven't heard this song in so long, but I still love it. It's equal parts beautiful and tragic, which creates a unique feeling when listening to it. It continues to amaze me how I haven't heard this song in years, yet I can still sit here and sing along while writing this post. Some songs are just that moving that they stay with you forever. So I'm sharing this song with you, and hopefully you feel the same way about it that I do.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 73

Hi. Today's song is I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me by Fall Out Boy.

I really like Fall Out Boy, but they need to rethink they're song names. This one is so long! I guess it actually explains why they wrote this song though, so I'll let it slide. Most people know this song because it was in the movie Stick It. It's one of the songs from the movie that everyone remembers because it was used perfectly in the scene, in a way that made it set up the movie, but not be complete background noise to the point where you don't notice it. Fall Out Boy has always kind of been that band that people know, because of the strangeness of them, so if you don't know who they are, check them out. It's pretty interesting to see what they've done.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 72

Hey. So today the song is Taste It by Jake Bugg.

This dude I've seen advertised on Facebook a lot lately so I decided to check him out. Lucky I did, because his music is pretty cool. His voice is different than most you hear nowadays. It reminds me more of how singers in the 50's sounded. That's a good thing because it's bringing something I love to the present along with a great song. Give it a listen and tell me what you think.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 71

Sup. So today's song is Don't You Forget About Me by Simple Minds.

This is an epic song. Nothing has made such an impact on my life as much as this playing at the end of The Breakfast Club as far as music goes. It's the perfect mix of happy and sad, powerful and simple. The people working on that film made the perfect choice of song, although all those eighties movies were incredible. If you know this song, throw your fist in the air and remember the good times, and if you haven't heard it? Go watch The Breakfast Club right now.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 70

Hello! Today you get Outside Looking In by Jordan Pruitt.

Here's another song from my past. It's weird when you can't remember the song title or the artist, but as soon as it starts playing you can sing the whole thing. The mind is an amazing specimen to be able to hold on to that for so long, just having the tune sit dormant for six years. Crazy. This is a great song. I think I remembered it because this used to be like my anthem. I felt like I was alone most of the time. I know how whiny that must sound, but it's the truth. Today I'm alone again, but I'm strong enough to realize that I really don't need anyone else.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 69

Hey. So today's song is Reach by Caleigh Peters.

This brings me back to my tween years. Oh nostalgia. I still remember some of the words too, which is awesome. This song is a reminder of when Disney channel didn't suck and actually cared about the message they gave kids, when it used to be about being a good person, not being the most popular and making money. Anyway, this song is really good so you should give it a listen.

Peace.
