Year 2, Day 45

Hello. So today's song is Bloom by The Paper Kites.

This is a new band for me, I just found them while sifting through YouTube. So far I'm happy I found them. This song is so pretty, especially with the guitar in the beginning. It draws you in. For once, the video for a song goes along with the sound of the music. Its a soft song, but a happy one and the video brings back childhood memories of the can on the string, combining it with a love story. The way everything fits together is just really beautiful in my opinion, so I thought I'd share it.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 44

Hello. Today's song is The Walk by Mayer Hawthorne.

This song Sammy showed me, and it's so awesome. It reminds me a little of the jazz song I showed you, in the way that you actively listen to it. I always end up stopping whatever I'm doing and just listen to it, which is saying a lot for me since I live my life trying to multitask to save time. This is the college kid in me that wants to do everything, but there is only so many hours in a day. Anyway, I love him. He looks so nerdy and then BAM! That voice hits you and blows your mind...at least that's what happened to me. See, Sammy had tried to show me this awhile ago and I wouldn't let her because I didn't think it would be good. I'm happy she forced it on me, because this is my new favorite song. Seriously, go listen to this one.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 43

Hey. Today I give you You're Not Stubborn by Two Door Cinema Club.

This song is so happy. It makes you want to dance and sing along even when you don't know the words. I showcased a song by this band in the first 365, and it was good, but seemed a little rough. I retract that thought now, they are not rough at all. These guys are just doing the thing they love, and are great at it. So give them a listen, and if you're curious, go find my post from last time.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 42

Hi. Today's song is Call Me by Shinedown.

This song is so amazing. I can't believe how much I love it. How it starts with the piano automatically makes me prepare for a girl singing a sad song, because I obviously listen to too much stuff like that, but then his voice comes in and it's too beautiful for words. Anytime this song plays I stop what I'm doing and listen to it. It has that power over me. I just am in love with this song, everything about it so check it out.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 41

Hey Guys. Today I give you Pimpin All Over The World by Ludacris ft Bobby V.

This song is ridiculous, but so good. I found it again when pulling out all my old CD's. It's surprising to rediscover things and find out you still know the words to it. Anna had been laughing at me as I sang along...because the words coming out of my mouth sound so wrong. This is from one of those mix CD's that they made, probably the Big Shiney Tunes one. Growing up with those is probably how I ended up with broad music tastes. It's just a really fun song, so check it out.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 40

Yo. Today's song is The First One by Boys Like Girls.

This is a pretty song. All the components mesh together so well and make it enjoyable to listen to and sing along to.  Most stuff from this band is, actually. In high school, everyone was into these guys, but I had never heard their stuff. Finally, I gave them a chance and found a new constant in my life. I suggest you do the same, because it can really open you up.

Peace.

Year 2, Day 39

Hey. So today's song is Be As by Prozzak.

This song is a good message. Plain and simple. It's all about the lyrics. I respect this so much more than the music of today as far as the message goes. This is what kids ahould be taught, to respect each other; not have them constantly bombarded by songs about drugs, sex, and illegal activities like they are now. As "forgiving" as our world seems, it's really not. People are so terrible to each other and are too harsh. Teach kids respect from a young age and maybe the world will not be as bad. Use this song as a tool to make the world better in any way you can.

Peace.
