Happy Easter Weekend!! So today's song is Feel This Moment by Pitbull ft. Christina Aguilera.
Today is my friend Carmen's birthday, so just quickly I must wish her a Happy Birthday!! Okay, now to the music. I'm sure most of you already know this song, because it's played on the radio all the time. I'm still going to share it because I really like this song, and I always car dance when I hear it. As much as I respect Pitbull's rhythm, Christina is the reason this song is so popular. Her part is what everyone knows, recognizes and sings to. They just kind of bop around during his part. As a whole though, it's an awesome song. It would be a summer hit...if it was summer. One more month, then I will officially be on summer break. I just have to get through April... Anyway, I hope you enjoy this song and have a good easter!
Peace.

Year 2, Day 242
Hey. So today's song is Dum Da Dum by Shawn Desman.
Okay, what is with everybody ripping on Canada? They say we don't support our artists... Yes we do. It's harder for Canadian artists because there aren't as many outlets for music here as there is in the States. It's just the same for movies and TV shows. Everyone who does that stuff is either in Montreal, Toronto, or possibly Vancouver. You know where I am? Calgary. We are not a music based city, we are a stampede based city. There is only so much that can be done here for artists, and they only get really big and known when they get signed in the US, but that doesn't mean that we don't support them. Carly Rae Jepson was discovered by JB because her song was already on the radio in Canada!! So she got signed in the states and BOOM instant stardom. The same goes for a lot of artists, including Classified, Simple Plan, Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtado etc. The list goes on. Not to mention I know of a ton of local bands who are better than people on the radio, and I go to their shows, buy their CD's, tell people about their music. It's not like I can exactly call up some CEO of a music company and be like "hey, you need to sign these guys." They wouldn't take my call, even if I knew how to reach them. So you Americans saying we don't support our artists? You need to back off until you do a little research in to what you're saying....Wow, that was a huge rant. Anyway, please enjoy this great CANADIAN artist.
Peace.

Year 2, Day 241
Hello. Today I give you Hurt Me Tomorrow by K'Naan.
I know all the words to this song. I sing it in my car all the time. My intense singing to it probably scares people, but oh well. It's a good song to sing along to. He brings out some really good stuff...This recording. I think it's faster than what they play on the radio. I can't be sure, but listening to the song from the video makes me feel stressed in the same way as I got in choir when the tempo started to unintentionally get faster and faster. I don't know... I'm sure most of you will have heard this song before, so maybe you can tell me if I'm being crazy or not.
Peace.

Year 2, Day 240
Hi. So today's song is In The End by Linkin Park.
This is an older song, but it's amazing. I always forget about it until I hear it playing somewhere, and then when it does play, I lose my mind. I always have to stop and just belt it out. I had found this originally during my angsty teenager phase. When I got all pissed off and was like "everything is dumb!" I would play this song, along with a lot of Simple Plan... My family thought I was crazy because I could relate to this song so much. Even back then I used music as a tool to tell them how I was feeling. There are a lot of people that I sang this at...hopefully they got the message. Give it a listen and you'll see why I like it.
Peace.

Year 2, Day 239
Hey Guys. So today's song is Heartbreak Coverup by Jesse Labelle ft. Alyssa Reid.
I decided to switch up radio stations today, and started listening to Jack FM. I'm glad I did. This is one of the first songs that was played, and I liked it immediately. Since I'd never heard it before, I couldn't sing along which actually bothers me a lot. I like knowing words to the music that I listen to. Lucky for me, I pick stuff up fast so I made up my own backup part to the song and sang that. That probably seems weird, but I was an alto in choir, so I always sang the back up parts. They actually sound better than the main one in certain songs. Anyway, this song is so nice to listen to. You should give it a chance.
Peace.

Year 2, Day 238
Hey Hey Hey! So today I give you Suzy by Caravan Palace.
This song is so wicked!! I honestly love it and it sounds so different compared to other music I've shown you. So this is swing music, which is also jazz music so it's very catchy. It makes you want to dance, which I guess is why the video is about a dancing robot! I love her outfits in the video. I've always wanted to have a party where everyone dressed in flapper dresses and danced like that. I might have to make it happen now. At least I know what song I'd play first. Check this one out, it's really cool.
Peace.

Year 2, Day 237
Hi. Today's song is Latter Days by The Middle Eight.
I'm glad to see from the comments on YouTube that I'm not the only one to wonder what I just watched. I didn't expect trees committing murder. Those poor creatures people...So from what I gather everything was killing people, meanwhile the ones that were alive were too stoned on whatever was in that paste to be aware and then the music saved them all, but then killed them? I...I don't know...I don't know what to tell you. It's awesome music, but the video is crazy. Watch at your own peril.
Peace.
