Day 101

Oh man. I can't believe I actually hit the 100 day mark! Well, the celebrate it today's song is from my choir. I give you And So It Goes by Westwinds Choral Ensemble.

So I don't have a picture of all of us together as a group, which is really sad, but this is the logo for the entire Westwinds Music Society. That includes every choir and every band. I'm in the highest level of choir, the Choral Ensemble. That says something about me as a singer for being in the experienced singers group at the humble age of seventeen, almost eighteen. Most of the people in the group have fully grown up kids and even grandchildren so I always feel a little special for being let in. This song is actually a Billy Joel song, that was arranged to be a choral piece. It's really quite beautiful. This is the recording of us at the Spring Concert, which was on Saturday and we as a group put our hearts into singing this song....well, at least I did. I assume by how beautiful it turned out that others did too. Anyway I hope you enjoy it.

Peace.

Day 100

Hello! So today's song is Don't Look Back by She and Him.

I really like this girl as an actress. She is just so naturally beautiful. I was so stoked when I found out she sang! So how I found out was that stupid 30 Day Challenge everyone is doing on facebook. A girl I had choir with posted a picture of these guys for her favorite band. I figured I'd check it out. I like it. Her voice is just so original that no one else could ever copy it. It's just so happy go lucky that it makes me feel better about the day, which is a good thing because I just got hit in the face with a shoe...by accident of course but that doesn't make my cheek any less red. So ya, listen to this and let it help make the troubles go away.

Peace.

Day 99

Hi guys. Today I give you Float On by Modest Mouse.

I'm using this song to try and make myself happy again. So today is my only day off from work this week. The only day I have to do my running around, have lunch with my dad, AND today is our Spring Choral Concert. So my city, being the pmsing teenager it is when it comes to weather decided to have an all out snow storm. We have been advised not to go out unless you have to. So at this present time I fucking hate the snow and really wish I lived somewhere where it never snows...perhaps Egypt?

Welcome to Calgary.

Day 98

Hey guys, so today's song is Fuck You by Cee Lo.

This song is just so damn catchy, I can't take it. I've been trying to learn how to play it on Riddance. I just love it so much. Any video that has some big black man with awesome shades with three girls in green dresses following him around doing crazy arm dance moves is totally good with me. I wish I had a posse to follow me and sing back up, my friends don't count. They sing lead, I'm more like their back up. Anyway, I love it. I hope you love it, even if it's called Fuck You.

Peace.

Day 97

So today's song is Break Even by The Script.

This is the song because of a clip from American idol that my friend showed me. I love this man. This man right here has an amazing falsetto. For those of you who don't speak music, that means that when he goes into those super high notes, he does it really really well. For example when he says pieces, that's what I mean by falsetto. So great. This is really hard for most guys to do so I applaud him for not only being able to do it, but showing it off like crazy in this song. So ya, listen to it and tell me about any other guys you have heard with amazing falsetto's.

Peace.

Day 96

So today's song is a cover. It's Blackbird by Sarah McLachlan.

My sister was over for dinner last night, and we started playing with Riddance. Apparently she knows how to play the beginning of this song. Now, I never knew that my sister could play guitar. I knew she started taking lessons then quit, but she is a lot better than me. Anyway, this song is so beautiful, and honestly I like this version better than the Beatles one. I dunno, I guess I like female singers better because it's easier for me to sing along. But regardless of who sings it, this is beautiful and you should hear it.

Peace.

Day 95

Hello world of normal people! Today's song is I Need A Hero by Jennifer Saunders.

So I need to tell you that (for the women out there) when you have that hysterical once a month explosion of crazy, you need this song. I seriously had a meltdown in Anna's car, which consisted of me choking on Mcdick's food, yelling at the sun, and laughing so hard I cried. In the end I was belting this entire song, and so was Anna and it definitely helped me to calm the fuck down. So next time your having issues yourself, or you are a man and have a crazy hormonal girlfriend, blast this and just belt it. It helps.

Peace.
