Hey guys. Today's song is Memory by Sam McGovern.

So this is a new and new to me artist. Sam McGovern is an Australian musician that's been active since at least 2019. He released his debut single in 2021 which earned him a WAM Song Of The Year nomination. He also appeared as a contestant on The Voice Australia in 2022, then was put with Keith Urban, but was eliminated during the callbacks. He's been working on his music since, with this song going up at the beginning of this year, so check out the song and if you like it keep an eye out for him in the future.

Year 8, Day 287

Hey guys. Today's song is Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg.

Landon Pigg is an American musician active since at least 2002 when his debut album was released. In 2006 he released two EPs and another album, and when his music was used on Grey's Anatomy it increased his music's play nationally. His songs were used in more TV shows and commercials, and he made appearances performing on a couple late night talk shows. In 2007 he released another EP, followed closely by another in 2008. He acted in A Fine Frenzy music video in 2009, was featured on the TV show Parenthood, and acted in the movie Whip It. He released another album in 2009, then co-wrote a song for Shrek 3 in 2010, before acting in another movie in 2012. He did a fundraising campaign through his YouTube channel in 2011 for Invisible Children, along with playing in the fundraising tour at a couple colleges. There hasn't been too much from him since. He did a cover song with William Close in 2014 and released a single in 2019, but other than that it has been quiet. In any case, I enjoy this song and his other stuff so hopefully you do too.

Hey guys. Today's song is Wrote You A Letter by Candelion featuring Cody Francis.

Candelion is another artist that I found because they are partnered with Epidemic Sound, but unfortunately when trying to look them up it seems like there is more than one group who goes by this name so I can't accurately give any information about them and know it's true other than their affiliation with Epidemic Sound. As for Cody Francis, I can say that he's an American musician active since at least 2019 since that's when his YouTube channel went up. He has a couple more songs posted on it, and is also affiliated with Epidemic Sound (obviously) so check that out if you're interested.

Hey guys. Today's song is Jude's Song by Connor Price.

So Connor Price is an actor and a rapper, and before I knew his music I actually am surprised that I knew him from when I was watching X Company. He started as a child actor, and has been in TV shows and movies since 2000. As for his music career, it seems to have started in 2017, which is when his first single is listed as being released. He's released a ton more singles since then, along with two EPs from 2018 and 2022. He had a new album that was released this year for you to check out as well if you're interested.

Hey guys. Today's song is Dirty Looks by Lainey Wilson.

Lainey Wilson is an American country singer active since 2011 when she finished high school and moved to Nashville. She played some small shows for awhile before releasing her debut album in 2014, followed by another in 2016 with a different label. She got some noticed and ended up on the Billboard Top Country Albums list in 2016. She independently released an EP in 2018 before signing with a label. She released another EP in 2019. She released some singles including this one before her next album was released in 2021, with another followed closely in 2022. She was nominated for six CMA Awards in 2022 and has since joined the cast of the TV show Yellowstone so check that out if you're curious.

Hey guys. Today's song is Just Do It by Houses On The Hill featuring Emmi.

So I can't find any bio at all about Houses On The Hill, the only thing I know for sure is they are another artist working with Epidemic Sound which has easily become my favorite place to find music. I do have another song from this artist to feature later so hopefully I'll find something out about them in time for that. And then I've featured Emmi before. Emmi is Emily Green, a British/Australian singer active since 2015. She has an EP from 2018 and a bunch of her own singles, plus has been featured on other songs like this one. So if you like the song, look up both these artists.

Year 8, Day 282

Hey guys. Today's song is It Matters To Her by Scotty McCreery. 

Scotty McCreery is an American country singer active since 2011 after winning that year's season of American Idol. As normal, he released his finale song after the competition and it went big, then he was signed with a Nashville label. He did the American Idol tour, as well as some other performances, before releasing his debut album near the end of 2011. In 2012 he won a ACM Award for Best New Artist and opened for Brad Paisley on his tour before releasing a Christmas album. His next album was released in 2013 and had released a single in 2015 in preparation for his next album, but split with the label in 2016 before it could be released. He released a book in 2016, and signed with new management the same year before signing with a new label in  2017. He released an album in 2018, then released some singles sporadically over the next couple years before his next album came out in 2021. This song and its video specifically is super adorable as it shows him and his wife getting ready for their baby, so congratulations to them on their new addition and I hope you enjoy the song.

Alright this is going to be the last of the impromptu conservation week things and rather than shout out a specific group working for the greater good, I'm gonna talk about a farming concept that if we find a way to work it right can conserve water, reduce the amount of farming space needed which could allow the wilderness and habitats to get a foothold back. I'm talking about aquaponics, and this guy's video breaks down the process and the pro's and con's really well, so give it a watch. Like other things I've featured it's not a perfect system, but I would argue that it's better than what we're doing now environment-wise and hopefully we'll see change come into the industry in the near future.
